Jill Duggar Shares Son’s Mess, Offers Parenting Advice
On social media, Jill Duggar Dillard isn’t afraid to be honest. Though there is some family drama going on behind the scenes that she doesn’t mention, she’s open about other things. She sometimes talks about parenting and other topics.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, June 27, Jill shows fans what she walked into in the kitchen. Her picture is of her son, Samuel, 2, sitting under the kitchen table. Beside him is a bottle of honey. And, there’s even a little puddle of honey on the tile floor and some on his hand too.
The Duggar daughter writes, “Sam’s favorite place to hide in the kitchen is under the table. And yes…he found the honey.”

In response to Jill’s post, other parents are sharing their own similar stories. They’re saying that Samuel’s sweet eyes can get him out of trouble. And, they say it’s never good when little ones are quiet. Some fans are looking at the bright side and mention that it’s a good thing that Samuel got into the honey on the tile floor instead of on the carpet. The mess definitely could have been much worse!
Jill Duggar offers parenting advice to followers
In addition to documenting this honest moment in motherhood, Jill shares about a blog post she wrote about parenting. Specifically, she talks about tattling and how to reduce how many times it happens. In her blog post, Jill talks about how Michelle taught the kids to cut back on tattling as they grew up. Then, she shared a story about her two young boys.
Jill writes, “We had a laugh the other day when our boys had a little squabble. They weren’t handling the situation well by themselves, so I stepped in and asked Israel what rule number one was and if he’d used it. Sam piped up before Israel could answer, ‘talk sweet!'”

Though Jill only has two children herself, Israel, 5, and Samuel, she’s no stranger to raising kids. As one of the eldest kids in the Duggar family, she has plenty of experience with kids. She’s one of Michelle and Jim Bob’s 19 kids. So, she had plenty of opportunities to help out with the younger kids in the family.
Because of her experience, her social media followers seem to trust what she has to share. Plus, they appreciate her being willing to share. One fan even asked if the tattling advice can be used for adults too.
