Is Season 3 of The Valley going to be better with Jax Taylor gone? The show’s executive producer, Alex Baskin, is chiming in on what viewers can expect. It is hard to imagine a show without Jax, but will this be a major improvement? Keep reading for more details.

New Season Better Without Jax Taylor?

Before the Season 2 finale of The Valley, Jax Taylor revealed that he was stepping away from the show. He needs to focus on himself and his sobriety, and cannot do that while on the hit Bravo series. Many fans feel that he did not choose to exit but rather was forced out. He has been exhibiting the same behavior that led to his Vanderpump Rules departure after Season 8. Jax has been spiraling and is not being accountable for any bad behavior. Some viewers feel that he is toxic for the show, and have seen what it is like without him.

He took time away to go to treatment, and the only times he was seen were in brief confessionals and when he was rage texting Brittany Cartwright. Jax’s temper has been beyond explosive, and now, he is gone after the reunion. However, will that be a good thing for the Bravo series? Executive producer Alex Baskin admitted that Season 3 will be “different.” At the same time, he noted that the season was Jax-less for half the time, and it still flourished. Therefore, he does not see the need to worry about keeping it going.

Many The Valley fans have been ready to see Jax Taylor exit. Alex Baskin knows this and believes the audience’s opinion can be quite valuable:

“I think in some cases the response from the audience is a good thing. I think it forces someone to assess where they are and what they might need to do.”

After the Season 2 finale, it was clear that Jax had no place on the show anymore and was extremely erratic. Although he has made it seem like he would be welcomed back, Alex made it clear that they are reevaluating the future of the show. They want to make it the best possible despite the changes.

More Scheana?

Not everyone has cared for Scheana Shay on The Valley, but she is legitimately friends with the cast. Therefore, she is not going away anytime soon. Had she not been so closely connected to everyone, things might have been different. As for Jax Taylor’s departure, fans seem ready to see where the show goes:

  • I am ready for the season to be over because of Jax’s behavior and irrationality as well as Janet’s behavior.
  • Jax will never grow up and take accountability for anything. Isn’t he like 50? It’s sad.

There has also been a push to get his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, removed from the series. Fans feel she is just as toxic as he is, and needs to focus on herself and her son. As of now, the series appears to be moving forward, and everyone is ready for what is to come.

Will you miss Jax Taylor when he is gone, or will the show be better without him? Let us know your thoughts, and watch The Valley Tuesdays on Bravo.
