Matt James Still Really Wants To Date ‘Bachelorette’ Clare Crawley After Quarantine
The coronavirus has stopped pretty much all television production and that includes The Bachelorette. Host Chris Harrison has assured fans Clare Crawley will get her chance to find love. The problem is nobody knows when that will happen. Since there is a major delay in filming, many of the selected contestants won’t be able to participate due to scheduling conflicts. However, Matt James is still available and he is ready to date Clare when the opportunity arrives.
Matt James is Tyler Cameron’s roommate and bestie
US Weekly shared that Matt is still available and looking forward to dating Clare. Matt, 28, is patiently awaiting his chance to meet Clare. Tyler Cameron no doubt helped Matt get his chance to appear on Season 16 of The Bachelorette. The two are roommates in New York and are also quarantining together in Florida. Tyler and Matt are both part of “The Quarantine Crew.”
As far as Matt still wanting to meet Clare, he says, “I’ve been very patient up to this point, and there is a young woman who’s in Sacramento right now that I’m looking forward to meeting once all this stuff settles down. So I’m hoping that I can be patient a little bit longer and ride this thing out and everyone’s safe and then we can get back to our daily lives and moving forward.”

There could be casting changes
Host Chris Harrison has said there could very well be casting changes due to the pandemic. Many of the original cast members may be unavailable by the time filming is set to resume. Clare herself even said on Instagram that due to the halt in production everyone should still submit applications. She said what’s the worst that could happen. Clare is hoping to find mature men who are really looking for love and to settle down. There is zero doubt she will settle for anything less.
While Matt is 10 years younger than Clare, he seems to have it together and is ready to find someone special. Everyone, Matt included, is hoping the season happens soon. In the meantime, Matt is focusing on some fitness goals and the health of himself and others. He recently particpated in NEOU’s 12-hour Fit-A-Thon on Instagram.
He said, “The biggest thing I’m focused on at the moment is really just making sure that everyone’s healthy right now and that I’m mentally and physically ready to go on Thursday so that we can continue to provide these nurses and doctors with everything that they need to make sure that we handle this virus and that everyone’s safe and we can get back to normal life as soon as possible.”
Matt is still hoping Clare’s season happens soon
There has been no confirmed dates for filming to start for Clare’s season of The Bachelorette. However, producers are scoping out possible resorts to film the season. If that actually happens, the entire season would be filmed in one place. No traveling at all would take place. Everyone would have to be monitored and tested for COVID-19 prior to entering the resort.
What are your thoughts on Matt joining Clare’s season? How do you feel about the season filming at a resort? Stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
