Trista Sutter Reveals Ryan’s Progress With Lyme Disease
Bachelorette Trista Sutter is currently appearing in Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. Since the show is currently airing on Fox, she has been making media rounds and during one interview she gave an update on how her husband Ryan is doing with his ongoing battle with Lyme Disease. Trista Sutter Reveals Ryan’s Struggles With Lyme Disease
During a recent interview with E!News Trista Sutter was asked how husband Ryan is doing with his ongoing battle with Lyme Disease. He was diagnosed with the chronic condition in 2021. It took months before doctors were able to pinpoint what was causing his illness.
Ryan was tested for everything from cancer to autoimmune disorders. He was deathly ill at times and very weak. Once doctors correctly identified his condition, he began various treatments to help him. Some of those were red light therapy and honeybee stings.
Now, Trista is sharing a new update with fans. She said Ryan is about 80% right now. She went on to share that everyone is different and what works for one person as far as a treatment may not work for someone else. So, she admits it’s been hard.
While Ryan is good most of the time, he does have off days. Trista noted that when these hard days happen it’s difficult to know if it’s caused by being sick, by Lyme or if he’s just worn himself out. However, his off days are still better than how he was two or three years ago.
What Were His Symptoms In The Beginning?
In the beginning, Trista Sutter and her husband Ryan had no idea what was wrong with him. He had severe headaches, body aches and severe weakness. Some days it was difficult for him to even get out of bed. It was months before they were able to pinpoint exactly what was wrong with him.
The former Bachelorette shared that it was an awful feeling to see the one you love in so much pain and feeling so helpless. All she could do was offer support and advocate for him.
Ryan has also been vocal about his diagnosis and the treatments he continues to get for Lyme Disease.
Fans can watch Trista back on television as she hopes to complete the challenges given to her on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. The show airs Wednesday nights on Fox.
