Identical Twins Hit Jackpot On New Category Of ‘Wheel of Fortune’

Twins Katie and Christina Currie are from Severna Park, Maryland. They are both college seniors who are set to graduate this spring. Katie is double majoring in finance and supply chain management. Christina is majoring in accounting. The twins face off against Tammy and Mike Oluvic, who are first-time grandparents from Alpine, California. As well as Sharron and Latoya Brown from North Carolina. From the beginning Katie and Christina took the lead solving the “Headline” puzzle for $12,100. The twins continued winning rounds by also winning the Mystery Round, which won them a trip to Portugal. Ryan Seacrest, Wheel Of Fortune host jokingly told the twins that Portugal was their “Graduation gift.”

Katie and Christina were a force to be reckoned with in winning a third round, the Express Round. This resulted in them winning another trip to Hawaii. The twins were in the lead with $34,248 at this point, with the Browns trailing with $3,000. The Oluvics hadn’t gotten on the board at this point, but even with the Browns winning a few puzzles in the Triple Toss-Up Round and the Speed-Up Round was not enough. The twins kept adding more cash to their total, with the Speed Up Round adding a new category.

The Big Win

The new category in the Speed-Up round was called “Colorful Language”, which a fan jokingly posted on social media saying “Somehow, a Bostonian’s definition of colorful language wouldn’t be allowed on TV!” The answer for this category ended up being ” Golden Opportunity”. Katie and Christina ultimately won the episode with $38,248 cash and went into the Bonus Round.

The twins picked the Person category, and Christina then introduced her boyfriend, Griffin, who was in the audience watching the show. As Katie and Christina looked at the one-word puzzle they were given, they together chose the letters C, H, M, and A. The board then read “H _ _ S E _ _ E S T.” The twins only had ten seconds and looked confused, but Christina quietly said to her sister “Houseguest”. Katie then shouted “Houseguest!” To their surprise,e the host Ryan Seacrest opened the envelope and revealed that the twins had just won $50,000 on top of their previous winnings. Their total is now $88,248 cash as well as their two trips. Christina’s boyfriend ran onto the stage in excitement to give both Christina and Katie a huge hug.
