'Counting On' Jeremy & Jinger Duggar Address 'Arranged Marriage'

Counting On alums Jeremy and Jinger Duggar Vuolo are raising some eyebrows following their latest podcast. The married couple has been documenting every moment of their upcoming third baby. But it seems the two want to spice things up as they mention the “arranged marriage” that may have been happening in the family and the IBLP for years. Keep reading to see their discussion.

Counting On: Jinger Duggar Looking Forward To New Book

Jinger recently had an interview in which she talked about her excitement ahead of her new book’s release. The Counting On alum previously announced a new memoir, “People Pleaser: Breaking Free from the Burden of Imaginary Expectations,” which will tell how she broke free from living up to others’ expectations.

According to Jinger, her latest book is unlike other titles she had written before. She then hinted that the book would feature her childhood struggles, adding that she came to a point where everything she did didn’t seem enough. Jinger continued, “Even in the family, I would not try to ruffle anyone’s feathers. I just wanted to keep everybody happy with me all the time.”

Jeremy & Jinger Address Arranged Marriage

Jeremy and Jinger Duggar Vuolo also released a new podcast talking about the possibility that they were an arranged couple. According to Jeremy, he often wonders if courtship is a form of arranged marriage. Jinger said it was a good question and began to share more details about how courtship works in her previous church. The Counting On alum revealed there would be a setting where both parents were being “completely unreasonable” as they never give their respective kids a chance to get to know each other first.

Jinger added that there’s a rule where the pair are not allowed to see each other, even though the couple’s parents are already setting them up for marriage. In addition to that, Jinger said the main issue was how the “arranged marriage” happens to couples in their 30s, making them old enough to make decisions of their own. But it seems it doesn’t work that way in the IBLP. Jinger continued, “It’s like they can’t think for themselves.”

Counting On: Jinger Duggar’s Pregnancy Update

Jinger Duggar Vuolo has also been uploading stunning photos of herself showing off her baby bump. The Counting On alum is also glad that her pregnancy is going well. However, she previously revealed that she would never take a medicine just for her to get home early from the hospital. According to Jinger, she once got very sick when she was given a dose of an unknown medicine to get back home. She continued, “They gave me some serious, like, hard—I was going to say hard drug. It was bad.”
