‘DWTS’ Fans Devastated Over Shocking Tour Postponement
The 2025 DWTS Tour is really getting off to a bumpy start. After expecting to kick off the event in Richmond, Virginia on January 7, fans feel sorely disappointed to learn that the show is no longer happening.

The DWTS 2025 Tour Cancels Its Premiere Show
Immediately after tickets for the 2025 DWTS tour went on sale, fans bought them in droves. Fans loved this year’s contestants and couldn’t wait to see them on the road.
But some ticketholders are scrambling for answers after a recent cancellation announcement.
“Due to the ongoing water outages and conserve water advisory in the city of Richmond, VA, we regret to announce that we have had to reschedule our show at the Altria Theater tonight to tomorrow night Wed., Jan. 8th,” the DWTS tour shared on Instagram yesterday. “All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We are sending out best wishes and thoughts to everyone in the city impacted by this incident. We can’t wait to kick off this tour and will see you all tomorrow night!”
Brandon Armstrong‘s wife Brylee reposted the announcement on her Instagram stories, noting that she wanted to cry.
Initially, the Richmond postponement was only supposed to last a day, with the performance commencing on January 8. Sadly, the situation didn’t resolve, forcing the tour to continue on.
“Unfortunately, the issues related to the city of Richmond’s water supply are not yet resolved and we cannot safely have our show tonight at the Altria Theater,” the tour’s official Instagram account shared this morning. “New information about this show will be provided to ticket purchasers via email. Etix and the Altria Theater’s website and social channels as soon as possible. We continue to send our best wishes to everyone in and around Richmond that are impacted by this incident. Baltimore, we look forward to starting the tour tomorrow night!”

Fans Share Disappointment Over Missing The Show
Brylee Armstrong expressed disappointment over the cancellation online. Like many others, she flew out specifically to see the first show of the 2025 tour.
On the Instagram post, other DWTS fans expressed disappointment but ultimately understood. They left comments including:
- “So sad was looking forward to it but understand as well”
- “So sorry tour is getting off to a rough start. Sending up prayers to the folks of Richmond & to the hospitals & healthcare workers.”
- “Absolutely devastated😭”
- “I am very sad because this was my first time ever being able to swing getting a ticket to the show.😢😢🪩💃🏾🕺🏾 And yet, I do understand that everyone needs to stay safe. I hope to see them next year.”
