‘Wheel of Fortune’ Player Has Massive Win After Rough Start
Wheel of Fortune is a game show mainly based on luck. It also has big moments where people win huge prizes, making it fun to watch and cheer on the players. Thanks to bad luck, a player struggled badly this past week, but things turned around, and he had one of the best Bonus Rounds of the season.
Here is how he won huge, as well as a look at what he left the game show with.
Man Wins Big Prizes On Wheel Of Fortune
Last Friday, a man playing Wheel of Fortune started the game struggling with bad spins while his competitors built up a lead. However, after the first round, he started to turn things around and made it all the way to the Bonus Round. Once there, he had no problems solving the puzzle and went home with a massive prize.
Jason Miner from Evansville, Indiana, joined the game on Friday’s episode. This was a dream come true for him since he enjoys gameplay in general. He told host Ryan Seacrest that he and his friends have game nights, and Wheel of Fortune is one of the games they play. However, Miner didn’t do well when starting out.
He faced Gabriela Rolon from Taunton, Massachusetts, and Preeti Ram from Columbia, Missouri. In Round 1, he struggled with his spins and didn’t get much on the board. By the end of the first round, Miner had no money in his bag. Rolon had $7,000, and Ram had $4,000.
In the Express Round, Miner finally began his comeback. He got “The Hottest Show in Town” as the answer and won $14,000 in cash. He also won a Las Vegas vacation worth $7,050.
In the Tripe Toss-Up Round, he won two more puzzles to extend his lead. While he didn’t do as well in the next two rounds, he held onto his lead and won the main game with $25,050 in cash. Rolon had $16,900, and Ram still had only $4,000. However, when he went into the Bonus Round, he won big.
Man Wins Wheel Of Fortune Bonus Round With Instant Guess
When Jason Miner went into the Bonus Round, he already had a plan in mind. He selected the “Phrase” category, which is often the hardest for players. After getting the main letters from the show, he then added the following letters: “C, G., H, and O.”
The board showed the clue: “SO / –CH / -N / CO–ON.” Jason smiled instantly when he looked at the board. When Ryan Seacrest gave him the go-ahead and started the 10-second timer, Jason immediately said, “So Much In Common.” It was correct, and winning the Bonus Prize only took him one second.
He had a bonus card with the prize, and he said he didn’t even think about it after winning. However, Ryan showed him he won a brand new Mercedes-Benz GLA250 4MATIC worth $51,990. This means Miner won $77,040 in cash and prizes.
“After I solved the puzzle and I saw Ryan with the envelope, it reminded me that I was about to win a prize,” Miner said (via Evansville WFIE). “When he turned the envelope over, and it said a Mercedez-Benz, I was super excited.”
