Katie Thurston Shares How The Bachelorette Changed Her Outlook On Dating
Bachelorette Katie Thurston has finally found the love that she’s been searching for. She is engaged to comedian Jeff Arcuri. It took her several failed relationships to finally find her perfect match. Now, as she and her fiance prepare to ring in the new year in Oklahoma City, she went to Instagram to answer fan questions and one was about how her approach to dating has changed since being on the show.
Katie revealed that “Having a large audience was the biggest shift in how I dated. I wanted someone who wasn’t intimidated by my large audience or excited to use my large audience. If you have dirt, those skeletons will make its way to me pretty quickly (and for the best).”
Along with that, Katie also said it’s not good to share who you are dating too soon. This blew up in her face after Fboy Island. She also made her relationship with John Hersey public very fast as well. Katie said, “I also learned not to post a guy within the first 90 days of dating (it often ended within this exploration phase). Posting a guy too soon has led me to extend a relationship far beyond its expiration date in order to avoid embarrassment.”
When Is Katie Getting Married?
Bachelorette Katie Thurston also revealed that she and Jeff are about to get heavy into wedding planning. The two are looking at wedding venues very soon and hoping to find the perfect location for their nuptials.
They have not announced exactly when they are hoping to tie the knot.
Katie said that in the past she never understood people who would say when you know you know. However, she felt that with Jeff and the two are excited for their future together.
Katie said, “Also dating long distance to start, really created a foundation like no other. Also, I never understood the expression ‘when you know you know’ and I now feel that deep in my heart for this man. And those who know us in person, see it and get it.”
