Tammy Slaton Schools Fans, ‘Focus On The Positive’
Over the past few seasons, 1000-Lb Sisters fans have seen Tammy Slaton undergo a dramatic mindset shift. During the first several seasons, the TLC star struggled with mental health challenges, as well as her weight. Tammy rarely wanted to leave the house or experience life. She believed she was confined to her home and regularly lashed out at her siblings.
Lately, Tammy has been sharing inspirational messages with her followers. More than anything, she wants to uplift others who have been in her shoes and show them hope exists.

Tammy Slaton Empowers Fans In An Inspirational Video
During this season of 1000-Lb Sisters, Tammy Slaton was visibly distressed when a plastic surgeon turned down her request for a skin removal surgery. However, her friend and fellow TLC star, Vannessa Cross, encouraged Tammy to keep going.
In an interview of her own, Vannessa described how she was also turned away by a plastic surgeon. She hoped Tammy would keep going and remain hopeful.
Thankfully, it seems Tammy Slaton is still going strong. The TLC star uploaded a special message for her Instagram audience members, encouraging them to keep pressing onward.
“If I listened to all the negative thoughts I have or comments in my feed I could not grow,” she shared in a new Instagram video. “That’s why I CHOOSE to FOCUS on my mindset! That’s my clap back 👏 Me growing is my number one focus. This is your reminder to focus on your mindset and your growth no matter how hard it can get. #motivation #mindset #transformation #wlcommunity”
“Don’t you ever forget,” the TLC star shares in the short video. “The way you think shapes the way you live. Focus on the positive. Feed your mind with hope and watch how your world begins to change.”
