‘Bachelor’ Ben Higgins Shares How Jessica Keeps Fighting For Marriage
No one said being married is easy. Now, former Bachelor Ben Higgins is opening up on how his wife keeps their marriage going. Keep reading to learn what Ben had to say about it all.
Ben Higgins Keeping His Marriage Alive
Being married can be hard. When expecting a baby, it can be even harder. That’s exactly what Ben and his wife, Jessica, could be going through right now. However, apparently, things are actually going well right now for the happy couple. Ben says that’s all thanks to his wife. According to the star, she is the one keeping the relationship healthy and fresh through this new experience People reports.
“It’s credit to my wife [and] her energy levels,” he says. “Even though I know she’s tired, she still has fought to keep our relationship healthy and fresh.”
Despite getting ready to be parents, the pair still make sure to go on dates and have time together.

Prepping For the New Baby
Of course, aside from just keeping their marriage alive, there’s a lot of work to be done before the little girl makes her appearance. Luckily, Ben has been on top of it. Apparently, he already has the nursery done, even though the baby isn’t coming until February.
“I did it. My mom came out and helped me with it and then Jessica helped me finish it,” he says when asked about the nursery setup. “It’s done. It’s ready. The crib’s set up, the chairs in there.”
According to the former Bachelor, he didn’t want to put it off to the last minute and end up panicking about it.
“As soon as I found out my wife was pregnant, I started working on it because I knew I’d start to freak out a little bit towards the end and I want to have that done before I started to have panic attacks. So it’s done now.”
Now, the couple is just waiting and prepping for parenthood. According to Ben, sometimes it doesn’t feel real that he’s about to be a dad. He even admits to forgetting his wife is pregnant at times.
“Does it feel real? Yes. But at the same time, no, because my wife is the one [who is] pregnant. I work from home and she works at an office. So she comes home sometimes at six o’clock and she walks around the corner. I’m like, ‘Whoa, you’re pregnant. I forgot that today. ‘”
