Bruno Tonioli Raves Over James Van Der Beek’s Strip Tease
Dancing With The Stars is over for the year, but judge Bruno Tonioli still has projects to work on. Recently, he had an opportunity to work alongside Season 28 competitor, James Van Der Beek.
Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek shocked fans when he announced he was battling colorectal cancer. While he has the love and support of his family to get him through the tough times, the actor also wanted to give back and make a difference. He joined the Real Full Monty, an upcoming charity special designed to fundraise for prostate, colorectal, and testicular cancer.
But this isn’t any average fundraiser. In the two-hour special, viewers will get a chance to see their favorite male celebrities engage in a sultry strip tease. Read on to get the scoop.
Bruno Tonioli Praises James Van Der Beek’s Stripping Ability
Several beloved actors signed up to strip down in the Real Full Monty, including Anthony Anderson, Taye Diggs, and Tyler Posey. They’ll team up with Bruno and James to raise as much money for cancer research as possible.
But of course, there’s going to be an element of fun too. Bruno Tonioli argued his costar James Van Der Beek easily stole the show.
“They were all great,” the DWTS judge shared with Us Weekly. “James was the best, but he learned everything he knows from me. No, I’m joking.”
But even if Bruno didn’t teach the actor a strip tease, he still certainly learned a lot from his time on DWTS. James Van Der Beek competed in Season 28 along with Emma Slater. They finished in fifth place.

The DWTS Judge Gets Back Into Dancing
Bruno Tonioli was an incredibly prolific dancer in his prime. But for several years, he’s enjoyed his time behind the judges’ table on DWTS. He hasn’t done a group number in quite some time, which made the charity fundraiser a bit challenging.
“It’s one thing, doing your own thing. And in this one, we really had to do exactly the same thing at the same time, giving the same performance,” Bruno continued. “It was very precise and I found that … it’s like relearning to be part of a team and that I actually learned a lot.”

“It helped a lot of people to break through that kind of fear and stigma, especially men, to get checked,” Bruno told Us Weekly. “And it’s a great fun show at the same time. It delivers a very important message and hopefully — I’m sure it’ll inspire a lot of men to get out there and get checked basically. And we did it and we had great fun doing it.”
Catch the Real Full Monty on December 9 on Fox. Until then, be sure to follow TV Shows Ace online for more DWTS news and updates.
