Fans Livid, Blame Him For Huge Loss

During the show, a contestant decided to not reveal another letter and guess the saying. However, they would have won another $6,000 if they revealed another letter. Fans were confused as to why they chose to do this. Especially since they lost. However, they are now blaming Ryan for the loss.

  • Pat would have reminded him to guess a letter before solving.
  • Could Ryan not say something???
  •  People do this all the time, or at least try to. Pat was great at always reminding them to call another letter first though.
  • Everybody knows the rules. How would you feel if the host helped another player beat you into the bonus round? It’s damned if you do damned if you don’t. I think they are better off not interfering.
  • Ugh we felt so bad here too and then wondered about Ryan not saying he can call a letter. However I think I’m with what someone else said here that Ryan interfering wouldn’t have been fair. I know Pat did and Ryan also did before but maybe producers said nope, no more.

Fans were disappointed with the outcome.

It seems that viewers wanted Ryan to speak up and let the contestant know that he should take another guess before revealing the word. However, others understand why he did not. If he warned the player, he may have been slammed for helping the contestant win. It seems like it could have been a lose-lose situation either way. What is your opinion on how he handled the situation? Do you think he did the right thing? Or do you think he should have warned the player? Sound off in the comments below. We would love to hear your thoughts.

  1. So what if Ryan tells him to spin again and he gets bankrupt or loses a turn. Contestants should know the rules. If you try to get greedy, problems arise. When you know the puzzle, solve it or you may end up with nothing if you don’t. Ryan is very personable and he does a terrific job.

  2. I think the host should not help the contestant the show has been around long enough for people to know how it works ,When you help your sitting up the others to lose .Ryan is doing a good job.Why is it people are not happy unless their stirring the pot

    1. I think Ryan is doing a great job! He’s a hugger and personable ! He genuinely wants people to solve the puzzles. Dumb people who don’t like him should not watch the show!

  3. The guest spun the wheel and would of had a free pick which would of given him another six thousand dollars to add to his twelve thousand therefore giving him the win with a total of eighteen thousand. I think Ryan should officially said something unless as you mentioned he possibly had been told not to.

  4. I would go with what Pat Sajak did for 41 seasons: remind the contestant of the option to call a letter before solving.

    1. I think everyone should just shut up about Ryan. He also has directors telling him what to do. The contestants are given the rules. Not Ryan’s fault. Go back and look how pat sajak was when he started. He was worse than Ryan. Now everyone just enjoy WOF and get off his back. Thank you!

  5. He is to high strung and doesn’t know how have a good time with the Wheel Fourtune with all of the nice people on the show at all !!!! Need someone else besides Ryan Crest in as the host !!!!!!!’

  6. I think he’s doing a good job, some of those people are kind of kind of weird they spend $250 buying a vowel that everyone knows that is there instead of calling a letter and get extra money.

    1. It’s not weird and it’s not always obvious to the contestants. It is very, very different from playing in the comfort of your own home. I’ve always been great at the game, I went to Wheel of Fortune Live, it took me forever to guess the puzzles and I didn’t even get picked to play, I was just playing along in the crowd. Also, Pat and Vanna have always said that buying vowels actually helps the players win.

  7. I think he is doing a great job. He has a positive outgoing personality. He did a good job on “Live With Kelly and Mark” also. And he has a sharp wardrobe too.

  8. I don’t mind Ryan..He just needs to lower his voice and lessen his excitement. He comes across as being hyper. Calm down Ryan!!

  9. Why is everyone picking on Ryan? He has brought so much love to the show
Pat was such a stiff person. like don’t touch me. Ryan is vibrant and full of life. Love how he hugs contestants and seems very interested in the lives and their interests in life. What are you looking for a Pat clone? Get over it. Pat is gone and there’s a new game in town! He is doing great job!
