‘Curious Case Of Natalia Grace’ Returns For Final Chapter
The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter is set to premiere January 2025. Notably, this comes out after the ID series ended its previous season on something of a “plot twist.” Natalia herself has also shared an update with fans.
The Final Chapter Comes Out After A Surprising Season Finale
The series explores the story of Natalia Grace. As seen on the show, Grace was a Ukrainian orphan whose adoptive American parents accused her of trying to kill them.
The final chapter comes out after the last season shared something of a plot twist. Grace appeared to find peace with her new adoptive family. However, it appears that her new adoptive parents, Antwon and Cynthia Mans, are growing suspicious of Natalia.
As heard in a voiceover, Antwon could be heard saying, “Something ain’t right with Natalia. This girl is tweaking.” He continues, “I feel like she’s the enemy in the house. And she said to us, we have held her hostage. Made us look like we’re the enemy.”
“She’s done other things too, but this was a new low. Natalia does not have emotions for nothing but herself. We’re done. We’re done with her.”
In the new teaser, Antwon could be heard saying, “Something ain’t right with Natalia. She got this dude online. He turned her against us. She’s ready to go to hell with gasoline panties on.”
As noted by People, an ID press release promised that the new season “dives back into Natalia’s story as she faces a new set of challenges and upheavals from a dramatic rescue mission to new allegations of abuse.” This final chapter also promises “a conclusion to Natalia’s story as she strives for healing and resolution in her tumultuous journey filled with decades of unexpected twists and turns.”
Natalia Recently Shared An Update With Fans On Social Media
As the publication noted, Natalia has a form of dwarfism called spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita. Originally from Ukraine, she was adopted by an Indiana couple, Michael and Kristine Barnett, back in 2010. After her adoption however, they started to suspect that she was an adult woman posing as a child.
The Barnetts also claimed that Natalia attempted to poison her adoptive mother’s coffee and tried to kill her using an electric fence. In 2012, the Barnetts petitioned Marion County Probate Court to have Natalia’s age legally changed to 22. A year later, they would end up moving to Canada without her.
According to the show, DNA tests showed that Natalia was around 9-years-old at the time of her adoption. Natalia later met Cynthia Mans in 2013, with the Mans petitioning to become her legal guardians in 2016. She would eventually be adopted by the family in 2023.
As noted by the publication, Natalia also recently shared an update with fans on Instagram after the finale in a now removed post. She assured she was “doing well.” However, she claimed she had to “keep things confidential for now” due to legal obligations with ID.
