Isabella Strahan was about to start college at USC in 2023 when she received her brain cancer diagnosis. She began her cancer treatments at that time and finished up with her chemotherapy in the summer of 2024. She has since returned to USC to start her freshman year and shared a photo that excited her supporters.

Here is a look at Isabella and her hair growth since finishing her cancer treatment.

Isabella Strahan Gives Post-Cancer Update

Isabella Strahan shared a photo of her hair growth in October when she was getting started in college. Now, just a week before Thanksgiving in November, she has an updated photo of her hair seven months after she finished her chemo treatments for cancer.

Isabella, 20, posted a video on TikTok, sharing an update on her current status as she continues her freshman year at USC. The clip uses the song “We Can’t Be Friends” by Ariana Grande and has her singing along with the lyrics. She sings, “Just want to let this story die,” while still bald. She then sings, “And I’ll be alright,” with new footage of her with her grown-in hair (via E! Online).

The first part was shot while she was still in her hospital bed in the summer. The new video clip showed her with her hair still short but growing out. Isabella had a big smile as she lip-synched to the music. She captioned the TikTok post, “7 months ago vs. now #slay #cancer #survivor.”

Isabella Strahan Succeeding In Life After Cancer Battle

This video also comes a few weeks after Isabella and her twin sister Sophia celebrated their 20th birthday with dad Michael Strahan. It is wonderful to see Isabella smiling and happy again after months of intense and painful hospital stays.

Isabella had several hospital visits, and that included a time when she had to have a hole drilled into the back of her head to release fluids. It was a terrifying moment for the teenager and her family. Michael Strahan took time off from Good Morning America to stay by his daughter’s side, and has made it clear that his family will always come first.

However, when she began her chemo treatments over the summer, Isabella said that she felt the time was coming near for it to be over with. She fought hard and kept her supporters updated with an active YouTube channel with many videos.

It was a joyous moment for everyone when Isabella finally rang the bell to leave the hospital.
