TLC’s Tammy Slaton Sent Vannessa Cross A Meaningful Gift
As far as fans know, there still isn’t a planned 1000-Lb Sisters and 1000-Lb Best Friends crossover. But that hasn’t stopped Tammy Slaton and Vannessa Cross from becoming friends in cyberspace.
Based on social media interactions alone, fans knew the women got along. But in a new interview, Vannessa revealed Tammy actually sent her a sweet, thoughtful gift.
Tammy Slaton & Vannessa Cross Became Fast Friends In Cyberspace
On this season of 1000-Lb Best Friends, Vannessa Cross describes how challenging it is to adjust to life after losing several hundred pounds. She’s making new friends in her bariatric support group who share her fears and struggles.
But it seems like her new friendships aren’t limited to 1000-Lb Best Friends cast members. While speaking to Access Hollywood, Vannessa revealed she would love to meet the cast of 1000-Lb Sisters — especially Tammy Slaton.
They may be in different age groups and live in different states, but Vannessa and Tammy have quite a bit in common. They became fast friends after getting in touch with one another.
Vannessa admitted she hadn’t had the opportunity to meet her fellow TLC stars, but hopes that will change eventually. Tammy has been so kind to Vannessa and even gave her one of the kittens she raised.
Back in April, Tammy shared on Instagram that her cat gave birth to a sweet litter of kittens. She didn’t elaborate much on finding them homes, but fans are delighted to know Vannessa ended up with one.

“Me and Tammy have each other’s personal numbers, so we message every now and then,” Vannessa shared. “And believe it or not, I have a kitten that Tammy Slaton sent down to me. So I have one of her cats. We are really good friends. I have never met them, but I feel like I would fit into their family like they fit into their family. I would give anything to be able to meet the Slatons, honestly.”
Will TLC Put Out A Crossover?
Since 1000-Lb Best Friends and 1000-Lb Sisters share viewers, it only makes sense that TLC would plan a crossover episode at some point in time. As far as fans know, nothing is in the works yet. But it’s always a possibility.
