Tia and Tamera Mowry’s hit show Sister, Sister first aired 30 years ago. Tia recently revealed some secrets she has never shared before from the set of Sister, Sister. She reflected on the start of her and her sister’s acting career. Mowry experienced quite a few changes over the years while the show was on air. Tia Mowry Spills Tea On What Happens Behind The Scenes
Tia recently looked back at the origin of her career. She said that it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for her and her sister to go to L.A. and end up with their own television show. Tia remarked, “We knew at the time that something like this doesn’t happen all the time… and we didn’t have a lot of experience.” The evolution that the Mowry sisters experienced during their Sister, Sister era left them with a huge fan following.
Tia shared some secrets from the set of Sister, Sister. Tia revealed “My sister’s hair was thicker than mine, and they wanted us to look and be exactly alike so they put extensions in my hair. Also, they added a mole on me.” Not everything was great for the sisters. Tia said that she and her sister Tamer faced some challenges as child stars. She said…
“Not everybody’s nice. My sister and I, we still had to go to school and high school that was challenging for many reasons, and I think one in particular was dealing with bullies, but what was awesome was we had each other.”
Thankfully high school doesn’t last forever and Tia and Tamera Mowry shot to fame after their stint with Disney.
Fans Love Her Cinematic Works
Gone are the days when Tia Mowry had to worry about bullies and high school drama. Nowadays she is a fan favorite with her own show Tia Mowry: My Next Act. The show focuses on her life after her divorce from her ex-husband Corey Hardrick. In addition to Sister, Sister Tia starred in the popular movie Twix. Tia shared that fans are crazy over the movie. She said…
“You know, what’s so crazy I have seen on Instagram where people have tattooed these symbols from the movie on parts of their body. I was like, ‘geez,’ this movie definitely had an impact on you. I will say this. This was such a fun movie to shoot.”
Tia’s latest project with WeTV has been popular as well. Fans love seeing her move on after her divorce. She is focusing on being the best single mom she can be. Mowry has also adventures back into dating. She also makes a point to spend time with her girlfriends and learn to enjoy her new start.
