Ysabel Brown Has Concerns About Christine’s Situation
During the November 17th episode of Sister Wives Ysabel is helping her mother Christine Brown and stepdad David Woolley move into their new Utah home. Christine and Ysabel Brown take a break from moving and have a heartfelt conversation about what Ysabel’s relationship with her stepdad David Woolley will look like. Ysabel was concerned that David was trying to take over Kody’s position as her father. The idea of David trying to replace her father made Ysabel burst into tears.
Ysabel asked Christine “He [David] won’t try to replace Dad, right? For us?” Ysabel was referencing herself and her siblings Aspyn Thompson, 29, Mykelti Padron, 28, Paedon Brown, 26, Gwendlyn Brown, 23, and Truely Brown, 14. Christine reassured her daughter and said “No, because no one’s going to replace your dad. No one. If you need a dad figure or a father figure or someone like that, he’ll be whatever you need.” Christine Brown moved in with David Woolley in early 2023, and they were married on October 7, 2023. 
Ysabel Gives An Update On Her Relationship With Kody
Kody Brown has struggled to maintain good relationships with his adult children. Several of the children have expressed that Kody does not seek to have a relationship with them and is absent. During her confessional Ysabel Brown shares with fans the details of the fracture that exists between herself and her father Kody Brown. Ysabel tearfully explains
“I worry, that my dad and the chance of having a really close relationship with my dad is slowly going away. David, he comes off as a very present dad with his children, so I mean, how lovely would that be, right? So I would love to have a relationship that is as amazing with my own father. I’m worried that my relationship with my father will be desolate, will not exist anymore.”
“It’s devastating to have your kids have daddy issues because my relationship with my dad is one of my favorite relationships, and to have kids who struggle with their dad, it’s really, really hard. I would love it if they had a good relationship with him.”
In time Ysabel and her sibling will be able to adjust to their relationship with their stepfather David Woolley.
