Chidi Launches Fundraiser To Treat Blindness

Chidi Ikpeamaeze recently took to social media to share a lengthy message about his new project. His sister, Victoria, launched a fundraiser to help treat his blindness. But at the same time, they’re aiming to “empower” other people like him. The fund will be used for Chidi’s “ChidiLight Empowerment Foundation,” which aims to help visually impaired individuals.

Victoria also listed ways they will use the money for Chidi. One is to fund his travel expenses to the U.S. and visa fees. The fundraiser also aims to keep Chidi in the U.S. while he waits for future eye surgeries. She added, “Specialized consultations and treatment costs at the world-class vision care facilities.” So far, the fundraiser has reached over $1,600 with a goal of $50,000.
