‘Golden Bachelorette’ Fans Demand Fan-Fave As ‘Golden Bachelor’
Bachelor Nation fans agree that ABC should renew The Golden Bachelor for another season despite the disaster Gerry Turner’s season turned out to be. He divorced his final rose winner just three months after a televised wedding. But what fans can’t agree on is which of Joan’s rejected Golden Bachelorette suitors should get the gig. Viewers took to social media during the Men Tell All special to demand this fan-favorite as the next Golden Bachelor.
Fans Demand Golden Bachelorette Fan-Fave As Next Golden Bachelor
The first season of The Golden Bachelor was a huge success when it was airing in the fall of 2023. Viewers loved the idea of the older generation finding love again. Long-time Bachelor Nation fans praised the show for being wholesome compared to the cattiness of The Bachelor. Things were going well for Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist, or so it seemed. They quickly tied the knot in a TV special in January 2024. But their relationship was over by April. They stunned fans by announcing plans to divorce.
The scandalous divorce put the franchise’s spinoff in jeopardy. But ABC went ahead with the female-led Golden Bachelorette with Gerry Turner’s former contestant, Joan Vassos. Viewers are again in awe of the friendships between the suitors. In fact, many fans think the men’s friendships were the best part of the show.
The Golden Bachelorette suitors – minus finalists Chock Chapple and Guy Gansert – reunited for the Men Tell All special last week. Usually the Tell All specials are filled with dramatic confrontations. But Joan Vassos’ suitors were serenaded with a song they came up with called “The Mansion Men.”
Fan-favorite Charles Ling took the hot seat to update Jesse Palmer and the audience on his post-show travels. One member of the audience said that Charles should be the next Golden Bachelor and social media users agreed.
One fan wrote on Twitter, “Down for Charles to be the next golden bachelor.” Another went a step further with the suggestion, “Charles should be Time’s Person of the Year. A true national treasure.“

Charles Ling Shares His Thoughts On The Idea
Mark Anderson is another fan favorite that fans hope to see on The Golden Bachelor. Charles Ling spoke to Entertainment Weekly in October after his elimination. He was asked if he would consider being on The Golden Bachelor.
Fans will be happy to know that he responded positively. He said, “Oh, boy. It is a new idea to me. Let me see. If the opportunity knocks on my door, I’ll consider.”
