‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Winner Confesses Secret To Ryan Seacrest
This week on Wheel of Fortune, a new contestant named Janine Crum appeared on the show. She won the main rounds and got her chance in the Bonus Round. However, one thing to note in this episode is that Janine almost had a chance to meet Ryan Seacrest before.
Here is what Janine had to say on Wheel of Fortune this week.
Wheel Of Fortune Player Tells Ryan Seacrest A Secret
This last week on Wheel of Fortune saw a player named Janine impress a lot of fans when she ran through the entire original game and made it to the Bonus Round. This also saw her reveal a secret to Ryan Seacrest, where she admitted something else in the episode.
Janine Crum, an art teacher and owner of a local studio from Westerville, Ohio, said that she was going to audition for American Idol. However, she said that she ended up “chickening out” and never made it to the audition. While she didn’t get a chance to become an Idol, she did very well on Wheel of Fortune.
Janine battled Josh Crowell from Dubuque, Iowa, and DeShannon March from Huntsville, Alabama. Things were mostly even at first, with everyone close to even after the first round. Josh had $3,250, DeShannon had $3,100, and Janine was in last place at $3,000.
This led to the Express Round. Janine kept control of the wheel for almost the entire round and won the puzzle with “Cherry Blossom Season.” She won $5,950 for that one and a trip to Japan (worth $13,498). By the time the round ended, Janine had $22,448 in cash.
By the game’s end, she had $31,948, with second place Josh only having $5,250.

In the Bonus Round, Janine introduced her mother, Barb, who was standing on the side to watch the big puzzle attempt. Janine even said it was her mom’s birthday. Ryan Seacrest joked that Janine should take her mom on the Japanese vacation.
It came time for the puzzle in the “Phrase” category. Janine chose “C, D, M, and O.” This made the puzzle board read: “___C_ / __EST_ON / _OR / _O_.”
While there were several missing letters, Janine almost instantly said, “Quick Question For You,” and won. Ryan opened the envelope and showed Janine had just won $40,000. This gave her a total of $71,948 in cash and the trip to Japan.
