‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Ryan Seacrest Loses Patience With Player
Ryan Seacrest has both fans and detractors since taking over the hosting duties on Wheel of Fortune. The detractors had another time this week with him, as he seemed to lose his patience with two players on the show. Ryan has been accused of showing little empathy with players. Did that happen this time?
Here is what happened with Ryan on the show this week when he got a little snappy with the players.
Ryan Seacrest Frustrated On Wheel Of Fortune
This week on Wheel of Fortune, there was a special episode called Girlfriend Getaways, and it meant that two female friends got to work together on the show to solve puzzles. However, one set of women had Ryan frustrated enough to get a little snippy with them.
Kelli Mullen and Emma Paulson met in the sixth grade and had been best friends for 23 years. The two women from Minnesota were the big winners on the Girlfriend Getaways episode, but their actions made Ryan get a little frustrated.
Kelli and Emma won $19,530 in cash and a trip to Barbados before making it to the Bonus Round. In this round, people are supposed to add four more letters to the ones that all players get at the start of the round (three consonants and one vowel).
However, Emma and Kelli began to whisper to each other and were taking a little too long to pick the letters. They seemed indecisive and couldn’t agree. They chose “C,” and then they chose “D.” Ryan finally said, “I can hear you” when it comes to their whispering.
They then chose “F” and started whispering again. Finally, Ryan said, “A,” and said that he heard them talking about it. Ryan seemed to want to get the game going and was tired of waiting.
Kelli and Emma Bonus Round Drama
It isn’t surprising that Kelli and Emma didn’t win the Bonus Round. The two had so much trouble choosing the letters in a timely manner that they had no chance when the 10-second clock began ticking down.
The puzzle read, “A__L__NN / __SELF.” Kelli and Emma kept their whispering going and never actually made a single guess before the timer ticked down. The answer was “Applying Myself.” Ryan said he heard them whisper “Myself,” but they never actually said anything out loud.
In the end, Ryan opened the prize card and they would have won $75,000 if they got it right. They could have also had a chance at it if they had actually said something rather than just whisper to each other.

I saw that episode and wasn’t alarmed about Ryan’s behavior. These shows are always under a time constraint. He was just trying to move things along.
I agree with you
Me too, they should know the rules and should have told their letters quickly. They were whispering amongst themselves and not saying what letters they wanted. it’s only a half-hour show.
I love Ryan and I think he a great host on wheel..
Jerk is more like it. He a second option in Wheel of Fortune and The Dick Clark Rockin Eve, So he is a nobody
I saw that show & I myself under my breath saying pick a letter hurry up!!!
Why are we even seeing this post ??? There are guidelines !!! Time constraints yes, however shows are taped way in advance. Something like this must have happened before ???
I don’t really like Ryan Seacrest he is not the person for Wheel of fortune that’s why I don’t watch anymore.
I don’t watch it anymore neither I don’t care for him
Ryan was right to get snippy. The contestants should have decided what letters to use during the commercisl break. They should not have whispering and holding up the show

I didn’t see the show! Ryan had a right to get snippy because they did take too long! The show is on the air for a minimum time and contestants know that! They don’t have the right to tie up all the time! They either get the answer right and win or not get the answer right and lose! That would not be fair to the other players!
Since his being the host, He Seems Bored with his Job !!! When you are Hosting a Show, you should be Patient and helpful to the guests. Many times I have seen him with both hands in his pockets ! This Shows he is Bored or just doesn’t care.
I agree, I stopped watching because of him he is boring and I am tired of seeing his face on so many shows . He needs to give other people a chance at jobs and to make money!
Agree, move on Ryan and give the job to someone who wants it because they want to honor Pat Sajaks !!
Saw the show. Ryan was a good host. He did the right thing to move the show along. I think Ryan is a good host for wheel of Fortune. .
I totally agree with him. I was like WTH are you kidding me? I’m from Minnesota and was embarrassed 😳
there were always so many complaints about Pat Sajak. If you people don’t like the show, don’t watch it. I think Ryan is doing a great job!! all of these negative people can ruin a great show by complaining all the time. Again, if you don’t like it, don’t watch it.
I saw the show I agree with Ryan. The contestants were a little slow, let’s move on. Good job Ryan keep it coming.
Saw the show. He was doing his job. They were very annoying and lost for being so indecisive. Don’t watch it if all you do is complain.
Ryan was totally correct. I think he is doing a terrific job. I watch the show all the time and love Ryan ❤ for the great job he is doing.
I saw the show Ryan was in the right. He was trying to move them along. Ryan is a great host
I watched the show. Ryan handled it well. They were annoying though the entire show and should have known better.
When you put yourself out there in the ‘public’ you are going to get both positives and negatives. So too with change from a comfortable host, (reference the change in Jeopardy). Pat Sajek too had a beginning at the Wheel and evolved after 41 years; so too will Ryan learn the ropes and he, himself, will eventually get as seasoned at the helm of Wheel. Change is oftentimes unsettling. Going from the familiar to the unfamiliar back to the familiar involves time and repetition by all participants involved. Let us give Ryan and ourselves time to evolve and get comfortable with this change.
I think Ryan was right to move them along.
Ryan was right he needed there
Letters to finish , Time was running
Out, I like Ryan I think he is doing a good job, I watch every nite and lots of years, He is a good replacement,
Thank you,
