Kelly Monaco ‘GH’ Exit Rumors: Sam McCall Murdered?

General Hospital has yet to reveal the last airdate of fired star Kelly Monaco, but it is coming soon. Fans have been wondering about Sam McCall’s fate. A new rumor suggests that she’s murdered by an unsuspecting person. Keep reading for the latest.

Sam McCall Murdered?

GH fans are still in disbelief over the news that Kelly Monaco was fired from the soap she called home for the last twenty years. The news broke in August. The actress hasn’t said too much about the heartbreaking firing. Some of her die-hard fans formed the I Stand With Kelly campaign to petition the show to rehire her. However, it seems those efforts have failed.

On Friday’s cliffhanger, Sam McCall was wheeled into surgery to donate her liver to comatose Lulu Spencer. The show hasn’t revealed what exactly happens to Sam, but most fans agree that she’s being killed off. But how? Fans initially thought that maybe the surgery goes wrong and she dies on the operating table.

But a new rumor suggests that Sam is murdered. Who would want to kill her?

The Alleged Unexpected Culprit

If the rumor is true, no one wants to kill Sam. The intended victim was Lulu Spencer. According to the online rumor, Lulu’s uncle, Cyrus Renault, tries to kill her by injecting something into her IV but mistakenly injects Sam instead. Why would Cyrus want to kill his family?

He allegedly feels guilty for putting Lulu in a coma in the first place. He was responsible for the bomb at the Floating Rib that injured his niece. Since her health is declining, he allegedly wants to put her out of her misery. Or perhaps he’s afraid she’ll wake up and connect him to the bomb.

Kelly Monaco’s mother, Carmina, reposted the fan theory on Twitter, which certainly gives the rumor weight.

Kelly Monaco Reveals If Final Gesture on GH Was Scripted

Sam McCall said her goodbyes before she went into surgery. She had one last message to her friends and family: she held up her hands in the ‘I Love You’ sign in American Sign Language. Fans wondered on social media if the gesture was in the script or not.

Kelly Monaco revealed in a reply that, no, it wasn’t scripted. That was a secret message she was sending to her fans.
