Exclusive Interview: Erica Lugo Shares Thoughts Before ‘Biggest Loser’ Finale
TV Shows Ace got the chance to interview Erica Lugo and get her thoughts right before The Biggest Loser finale. Check out what Erica had to say below.
Erica Lugo talks Biggest Loser
Were there any certain contestants that you bonded with?
“I bonded with all of them and am so grateful to be just a small part in all of their journeys. If I had to pick, Jim was there the longest from my team so I was able to grow that relationship to its fullest possible extent. I am enormously proud of him. I also felt particularly close to Katarina. Sharing so many of the same experiences, it was super easy to get attached to one another. But all in all, Team Red for life! Every single one of them (and even Team Blue) was incredible.”
Was The Biggest Loser what you expected?
“I had very few expectations going in. With it being a reboot, so much has changed from the original. It’s a new campus with new rules, new trainers and a new mindset. The facilities were incredible and I was also surprised to find how close we all got even across team lines. I think we are all bonded for life.”
Were you surprised by who made it to the end?
“I wasn’t surprised at all to see Jim make it to the finale. He put in work day in and day out that proved he deserved to be there just as much, or even more, than the rest. Micah and Kyle also were incredible. Inside and out, their transformations have been amazing to watch.”
Erica even learned more about herself
What did you learn through this experience?
“I learned that even my journey isn’t over. There were many things that I thought were buried long ago that rose to the surface during my experience. Steve and I both had many moments of self-reflection and faced our demons together. I didn’t expect to grow from this experience as much as I have but I am thankful every day to be apart of it.”
Any news on another season of The Biggest Loser?
“I can’t even think about next season yet – I’m too excited for everyone to see the final transformations of these amazing contestants.”
The finale of The Biggest Loser reboot airs tonight, Tuesday, March 31, at 9/8c on the USA Network. Make sure you don’t miss the big finale.
