The Tracker Season 2 Episode 2 “Ontological Shock, sees the return of Jensen Ackles as Russell Shaw, Colter’s brother. According to IMDb, “When Colter goes missing during his search for a missing father, Reenie recruits his brother, Russell, for help.” This means that eventually, Colter and Russell will be back together. Most of all, this means that Colter can start asking some questions.
Recently, Justin Hartley spoke to TV Insider about this reunion. Firstly, he pointed out that “We left off first season with Colter having a lot of questions.” He added that Colter’s trust has been broken. He doesn’t know who to believe. Dory hid things from Colter. He wants to understand why.
Therefore, the Young and The Restless alum shared that this episode is important. Colter wants some answers. Does Russell have them? As for this episode, “they get involved in this really black ops, kind of a strange thing.” But, then it gets personal.
And these government officials start asking about our dad out of the blue, and you’re like, ‘Whoa, what’s this all about?’
Lastly, Justin teases that with each “episode Dad is becoming a little more vindicated maybe, or just maybe completely nuts.”
He isn’t about to give away the season. However, this will be a journey for Colter to uncover secrets about his family. But, can he get to the truth? Or is he opening a Pandora’s Box that will lead to danger?

How Did Justin Hartley Meet Jensen Ackles?
Justin Hartley and Jensen Ackles did not meet on the Tracker set. Where did they meet? When Justin joined The CW series Smallville in 2006, Jensen was starring in The CW series Supernatural. The This Is Us star explained, “I got to know him and Jared and all those guys over there at Supernatural.” Because they were all filming in Vancouver, they had a lot in common, starting with being about the same age.
Justin also shared that Jensen is “a family man and he’s got kids and loves his work and loves his family and loves his fans.” They wanted to work together, despite busy schedules. But, it all worked out for Tracker. Most of all, Justin loves working with Jensen, and calls it “a treat.”
