Garth Brooks Addresses ‘Elephant In The Room’
Garth Brooks has his work cut out for him legally. He has been accused of sexual assault and battery by a woman who is only being identified as Jane Roe. She filed a lawsuit against the country music star alleging he was guilty of sending her sexually explicit text messages, exposing his genitals to her and even raping her in 2019.
Brooks continues to deny the allegations and said they even filed an anonymous lawsuit a month ago against her for slander and defamation of character.
Now, in his latest episode of Inside Studio G, Garth spoke about the week he’s had. He said, “A lot’s happened in the last two weeks. Let’s address the elephant in the room, shall we? This thing is on, it’s gonna happen, and people are telling me it could be up to two years. OK? So, my suggestion is, well, take a deep breath, we all just kind of settle in and let’s hold hands and take the trip together, because it is something that you cannot talk about. That’s all we can say about it.”
Garth also added, “For those who joined us tonight to hear about that, I bid you a wonderful rest of your night, ’cause that’s the last we can say about it.”
His Family Supports Him
The woman known only as Jane Roe is now adding more to the rumor mill and alleging she has text messages from her time with Garth Brooks.
However, as of now, it is being reported that his family remains shocked by these allegations. They feel it is very out of character for him.
Sources say his wife Trisha Yearwood also believes her husband is innocent and did not assault the alleged victim in any way.
The two have presented a united front so far. Trisha has not publicly spoken out about the lawsuit against her husband.
What do you think about the situation? Do you think he is doing the right thing by continuing to live life amid the lawsuit?
