Garth Brooks Compared To Diddy By Accuser’s Attorney

It looks like Diddy isn’t the only celebrity getting accused of inappropriate behavior these days. Garth Brooks is currently facing some serious allegations as well. Diddy made a name for himself as a music mogul with talents as a rapper, record producer, and record executive. His history in the entertainment industry definitely hasn’t been enough to shield him from these problematic allegations, though. Garth, on the other hand, has been making waves in the country music world since 1989. His award-winning career isn’t shielding him from his current drama, either. Here’s why his accuser’s attorney just compared him to Diddy.

Is Garth Brooks Similar To Diddy?

Douglas H. Wigdor is the attorney handling the case for Garth’s accuser. He spoke to Us Weekly about the situation, saying, “I cannot get into settlement discussions, but the suggestion made by Brooks that he was unwilling to pay millions is simply not true. It seems as though Sean Combs and Garth Brooks are using the same public relations team by attacking legitimate victims.”

Douglas filed her lawsuit on October 3, 2024, and he did so using an anonymous name for his client: Jane Roe. He went on to say, “We are very confident in our case and over time the public will see his true character rather than his highly curated persona.” The comparison he made between Garth and Diddy is beyond alarming since he claims they’ve both been attacking real victims who’ve been harmed.

Diddy And Garth Brooks Both Deny All Accusations

In the same way Diddy has been maintaining his innocence, Garth has been aggressively trying to deny the accusations against him. He told the outlet, “For the last two months, I have been hassled to no end with threats, lies, and tragic tales of what my future would be if I did not write a check for many millions of dollars. It has been like having a loaded gun waved in my face.”

He went on to describe his disinterest in paying hush money because he believes that would prove his guiltiness. He also noted that he’s heartbroken over the allegations against him. To be specific, he’s facing charges of sexual assault and battery. Fans have been flooding social media with their thoughts on all this drama using Reddit at their main platform for communication:

• “Man, super surprised by this. But then again, I don’t know this dude. Just the persona his PR team curated.”
• “Money and power sure does turn people into complete monsters. If they can prove this, Garth needs to be jail.”
• “If true, it’s horrible. If not, it sounds like someone was trying to extort Garth for money. The fact that ‘someone’ already filed a lawsuit against the accuser saying that there has been threats of blackmail, says a lot.”
