‘Bringing Up Bates’ Katie Bates’ Newborn Son Harvey Transferred To NICU
Bringing up Bates star Katie Bates Clark recently welcomed her second child, Harvey. The Bates family has been celebrating their newest member. However, it wasn’t a smooth delivery for Katie. Kelly Jo even took to social media to share that baby Harvey was transferred to the NICU. Keep reading to see what happened.
Bringing Up Bates: Katie Bates Gives Birth To Baby Harvey
Katie recently took to Instagram to announce the arrival of her newborn son, Harvey. According to the Bringing Up Bates stars, she was “head over heels” in love with her baby boy. But it wasn’t a smooth delivery for Katie. She said that baby Harvey was taken from her after his oxygen levels dropped. She was able to hold him for only a few seconds. Katie also said that Harvey is a fighter, and they’re proud of him. However, the help he was receiving wasn’t enough. Due to this, he was transferred to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital for more specialized treatment.
Katie’s Newborn Son Harvey Transferred To NICU
Kelly Jo also shared updates about baby Harvey. The Bringing Up Bates star said her newborn son is as precious and adorable as anyone could imagine, adding that the entire family is rejoicing over his arrival. However, the proud grandmother mentioned that Harvey was sent to a larger NICU after six hours of monitoring.
Fortunately, Kelly Jo revealed that baby Harvey has been “making amazing strides.” Gil’s wife is also proud of their daughter, Katie, for making the delivery look like a cakewalk. “I’m so proud of the love & strength you’ve shown in these last few hours! You are so selfless!” she added. Kelly Jo Bates went on to say that Travis set the bar high for other husbands. “You’ve been so supportive, encouraging, helpful, & thoughtful!” she added.
Bringing Up Bates: Another Bates Baby To Arrive This Month
Aside from baby Harvey, Esther and Nathan Bates are also expecting to welcome their second child this month. Esther recently shared a clip of herself working out as she enters her third trimester. “Far from perfect, but staying more active this pregnancy has made a huge difference for me, mentally and physically,” the Bringing Up Bates star captioned.

Many are impressed by Esther’s positive mindset. She has yet to share the name of her baby boy. It also appears that she may not be the only remaining pregnant family member today. Lawson previously took to YouTube to hint that there may be a 33rd grandchild. But nobody from the family has hinted at a pregnancy.
