When Is Hoda Kotb’s Last Day On The Today Show?
Hoda Kotb has been relishing her new life with her two daughters, Haley and Hope. They moved to the suburbs and it has been glorious for the threesome. Hoda shared how much she adores walking her girls to school, coffee cup in hand, and feeling the grass under their feet. She is truly treasuring these special moments and not taking anything for granted. That being said, she has made the heartbreaking decision to exit Today after seventeen years. She concluded it was time to make some professional changes after turning sixty in August 2024.
This caused her to opt to “turn a page” and “try something new” which she now will be doing. Plus, Hoda wants Haley and Hope to have more of their mother:
“I had my kiddos later in life and I was thinking that they deserve a bigger piece of my time pie.”
Now that Hoda is officially exiting the popular morning show, viewers are wondering when her last day will be:
- I might cry every morning until Hoda leaves. Also, I’m gonna need a date, so I can take her last day off to grieve
Many also called it the end of an era while some claimed it was the only reason that they watched the show. So, is there a set date for her departure? According to People, this is what Hoda Kotb has said:
“I’m gonna be here through the first of the year — past the first of the year.”
That is vague but this means she will be around for the next three to four months, until the beginning of 2025. It could be the first month of 2025, it could be the first three months. Right now, it appears everyone is navigating this unexpected transition.

After Hoda Kotb broke the news on Today that she was leaving in the very near future, viewers were in shock. They immediately headed to social media to share their sadness and how much they will miss her:
