‘Bachelor Nation’ Should There Be A ‘Golden Paradise’ Spinoff?
Should Bachelor Nation add a Golden Paradise spinoff to its franchise now that there are so many dynamic men on The Golden Bachelorette? Before, there were just the women of The Golden Bachelor and Gerry Turner. Now, Joan Vassos has made history and with her, has come 24 amazing suitors. So, do viewers want to see them in paradise? Keep reading for more details.
Should There Be A Golden Paradise Spinoff?
The men and women of The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette would likely make some amazing couples. Clearly, Joan Vassos will only end up with one person at the end of her journey. Therefore, she will leave 23 men brokenhearted much like Gerry Turner did to 23 women. Though only two episodes of Golden Bachelorette have aired, there are a lot of parallels between Gerry’s women and Joan’s men. So many matches could be made leaving fans wondering if it would be smart to have a Golden Paradise.
This would be a take on Bachelor in Paradise, which returns in 2025. Viewers have suggested that Jack Lencioni, who did not get a rose on the Wednesday, September 25th episode, be the bartender:
- I really hope Jack is the bartender in golden paradise.
- Petition to make Jack the golden bachelor in paradise bartender
- Jack for bartender in Golden Paradise!
- Petition: ABC, Hire Jack as the Bartender-Slash-Chef for Golden Bachelor in Paradise Immediately
So, fans already put Jack in a position on the spinoff and are ready to make it happen. The bigger question is whether or not it would be a hit. According to Meaww, it may be best to forego it. The first issue noted was that the Golden franchise is so new and, as of now, there have been zero successful marriages. Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist divorced within months of saying “I do.”
Another problem noted is the cast is very family-oriented, which is what Joan Vassos wanted. However, Golden Paradise would once again force them to leave their families for an extended period. Viewers watched Charles call his daughter from the Senior Prom to tell her how much fun he was having but that he missed her. So, this could be a hindrance.
Could They Hang?
Filming these shows requires a lot of time, dedication, and long hours. They did shorten the filming time for The Golden Bachelorette but Joan Vassos claimed she is only sleeping five hours per night. Furthermore, when the men moved into the mansion, they saw their living arrangements and it looked more like camp. They had bunk beds and some had bad knees so they could not climb to the top. How would they manage even more undesirable sleeping situations if there was a Golden Paradise? More so, could they hang and party for the time required or would it take its toll? It may be fun for the first week but after a certain period, that’s where it would end.
Though a good idea, in theory, Bachelor Nation could do a shortened version or maybe a mixer to end the season. However, Golden Paradise has too many logistics that may not make it feasible.
