‘Mama June’ Pumpkin Efird Celebrates Divorce With New Boyfriend
Mama June’s daughter, Pumpkin Efird recently celebrated her divorce with her new boyfriend, Darrin Kitchens. The two have been making waves since she and Josh Efird filed for divorce on August 1st. Now, with the divorce finalized, Pumpkin and Darrin are continuing to flaunt their love. Keep reading for more details.
Mama June Pumpkin Efird Celebrates Divorce With New Boyfriend
Shortly after Pumpkin Efird filed for divorce from Josh Efird after six years of marriage, she was seen with his cousin, Darrin Kitchens. She popped up on his Snapchat and it appeared they were more than just close friends. Rumors had been flying that the two had been hooking up for a handful of months. Back in April 2024, Josh and Darrin’s grandmother passed away and that was the first time things got hot and heavy. Seemingly, once Josh learned about it, that was the official end to the marriage.
Josh did end up having a relationship or very close friendship with a pregnant woman named Keely. It was clear he was not the father, something Mama June made known. However, it then came out that Darrin was the father of Keely’s baby so it was a very interesting situation. Darrin and Pumpkin soon started stepping out together and even headed to Las Vegas with June, Justin Stroud, and some friends. They were very clearly rubbing it in Josh’s face which fans did not care for. Now, with Pumpkin’s divorce finalized, she and Darrin are stepping out once again.
Dressed head to toe in skintight black, red booties, and a cropped denim coat, Pumpkin looked like she was channeling Sandy from Grease. She posed alongside Darrin in photos she shared on Facebook with the caption:
- “& then you’d have something to talk about. Koe Wetzel with my fav plus one.”
They went out on Saturday, September 22nd and Pumpkin’s divorce was finalized the following day. Therefore, the duo was celebrating her freedom yet she still is listed as “single” on her social media. It is still very fresh and new so it may take some time for her to change that.

After seeing Pumpkin Efird and Darrin Kitchens stepping out and looking very happy, her followers celebrated her love:

Of course, not everyone was thrilled for them. They felt that she could do so much better and were not happy with the way she handled Josh Efird’s recent car accident. She was his emergency contact and blew it off, claiming if he said he was hurt, it was all for a check. As for whether or not Darrin will make an appearance on the new season of Mama June: Family Crisis, that is yet to be seen.

All I can say is if they’re trying to be the messiest family on reality TV, they’re doing a really good job.

That whole family is nothing but trash. Letting trashy June get custody of that girl was a mistake. She only wants her for the check. June’s husband needs to get out of that crazy nest of weirdos. The court should also take Pumpkin’s kids from her. She don’t deserve anything but unhappiness. TRASH TRASH TRASH
This is about as tacky as can be. I’m not impressed with Pumpkin “celebrating” her divorce with a boyfriend she’s clearly had during their marriage. Why are we glorifying this nonsense along with Alana shacking up with that loser of a criminal boyfriend she has?! This trash should not be allowed on TV!
They act like a bunch of damn enbreds
Objectively Speaking, Josh delt with an overwhelming combustible dynamics when he married Pumpkin and tolerated the shenanigans of her family. He did try to create a reasonable and sensible productive functioning household. He endeavored to shield his immediate family from unnecessary drama with the hope of showing Pumpkin a more mature & responsible way of living in making better decisions in life. This was evident in the positive advocacy for Alana to finish school and enroll in college. Josh even encouraged Pumpkin to pursue her baking adventures. His intentions was for Pumpkin to excel in life. The divorce news was unexpected and it would have been sensible to take the time to decompress and engage with her children before her immediate celebratory rendezvous with new boyfriend. This is mind boggling unacceptable! I’ve given Pumpkin credit for stepping up with Josh’s support in keeping things reasonably in perspective. However, after Pumpkin’s latest major hiccup, I think she should level off and avoid further trashing Mama June. Pumpkin has definitely deviated from setting a positive example to her kids especially in overly exposing family matters to her quick whipped daughter. They say live and let live and there are two sides of a pancake! Granted, but eventually there is always consequences for the choices we make.
