‘Teen Mom’ Kailyn Lowry Puts Wedding On Hold
Former Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry had put her wedding to Elijah Scott on hold but what is the reason for that? More so, when were they planning on getting married in the first place and do they have an idea as to when it will happen? Keep reading for more details on the whole wedding situation.
Kailyn Lowry Puts Wedding On Hold
It was not too long ago when Kailyn Lowry announced that she and Elijah Scott were engaged. They went public in April 2022 and secretly welcomed their first son, Rio, in November 2022. Following that, Kailyn found out she was pregnant again with twins. She and Elijah welcomed a son and a daughter, Verse and Valley, in October 2023. In total, she has seven children and just bought 20 acres of land to build a lavish home for her family. Furthermore, Kailyn and Elijah are not completely sure if they are done having children despite her having her tubes tied.
She has admitted she goes back and forth about growing her family even more and Elijah is completely on board. The couple was set to get married in September which seemed like an ideal time. However, that has been halted yet why have they put their special day on hold? According to E! News, it all had to do with her son, Lincoln, 10. She shares him with her ex-husband, Javi Marroquin and he is an avid soccer player. More so, he asked his mom if they could build a soccer field in the backyard.
Apparently, Lincoln got the opportunity to play in Spain so they could not say no:
“There’s just so much happening. I was like, ‘OK, we need to focus on that right now and then we’ll revisit the wedding date situation when we get back.”
However, Kailyn Lowry will be very meticulous when it comes to setting and picking the right wedding date. It is a quirk those who know her understand:
“Anyone that knows me knows that I’m very weird about my dates.”
This even applied to Valley and Verse’s C-section. She asked the doctor to move it to a specific date but they were against the idea.

Even though there has to be planning involved, Kailyn Lowry admits she does have some dates in mind. The Teen Mom alum has narrowed her big day down to two specific months:
“When we get married, it would have to be April or September because there’s nothing else going on big date-wise in those months. I know that sounds sort of crazy, but I’m also sort of crazy, so it’s fine. And is just part of the chaos.”
Kailyn has mentioned the possibility of returning to reality television but has not mentioned if she will have her wedding filmed. She previously got married while starring on the hit MTV series. However, she has been away for some time and her main focus has been her two podcasts. So, will she be an April bride? Time will tell but it shows she cares more about her son’s happiness than a wedding.
