‘American Idol’ Just Sam Attacked By Woman In Subway Station
Former American Idol champion, Just Sam has not had it easy since winning the show. While they won a recording deal, they had to give it up when they couldn’t afford to make the album without working. After that, they ended up singing in the New York City subways for money.
Recently, Just Sam released a video from their performance in the NYC subway system showing two people attacking them for no apparent reason. Here is what we know.
Just Sam Attacked In NYC Subway Station
Just Sam performs in the New York City subway stations for money. They also often have a phone recording their shows and sometimes share it on social media. However, a recent performance ended in a scary moment. While they were singing, two people apparently attacked them.
Just Sam, 25, was singing in the NYC subway system as they normally do. Yet, on this specific day, it almost ended in tragedy. While singing the Beyonce song “Irreplaceable,” two people suddenly attacked them. Just Sam shared the video.
In the video, they were singing when two passengers came over and “attacked” the star. Sam’s sister was also there, and they seemingly attacked her as well. The post’s caption read, “I can’t believe this even happened.”
More so, Sam told the women to back up and continued singing. In the background, someone yelled for them to keep singing and not let the women stop them. Sam added:
- The woman in the video attacked me and my sister unprovoked…NOTHING like this has EVER happened to me before in all my many years of singing underground. We are okay and we are always safe. I never ever go to the trains alone. Thank you to everyone for having my back. We are great. God is always protecting us.
Fans Sweep Into The Comments To Praise Just Sam
The American Idol champion has not had things easy. They had to give up their contract with the record deal and ended up having to make money by singing in the NYC subway system. Furthermore, to add insult to injury, they just recently lost their beloved dog. This attack was just the latest setback in a series of unfortunate events.

- “Love you, Sam! You’re always the bigger person. Thank you for being the example. Never allow anyone to dim your bright light!!”
