Artem Chigvintsev Brings Wife, Nikki Garcia Back Amid DV Drama?
Has former DWTS pro, Artem Chigvintsev brought his wife, Nikki Garcia back amid all of the domestic violence drama? The two have been distancing themselves since his arrest on Thursday, August 29th. Artem Chigvintsev Brings Wife, Nikki Garcia Back Amid DV Drama?
Nikki Garcia was always Artem Chigvintsev’s biggest supporter when it came to his time on DWTS. They had been paired up on the 25th season of the hit reality dancing competition. That was in 2017 but the duo did not make their love official until early 2019. By the end of the year, they had gotten engaged and, in 2020, they welcomed their son, Matteo into the world. In 2022, Artem and Nikki tied the knot which was featured on an E! reality series. For years, Nikki had gone by ‘Nikki Bella’ along with her twin sister, Brie and they were big in the wrestling world.
Whenever Artem danced with someone new on DWTS, she shared it on her social media. She would also encourage her “Bella Army” to vote for him and whomever he was partnered with. Unfortunately, their marriage was not all it appeared. They were in counseling back in 2021, but it was not until that fateful night that it became violent. Artem claimed Nikki threw shoes at him, but the biggest issue was that there was a child there. She started to search for a divorce lawyer and stopped wearing her wedding ring. He then erased her from his social media but has that changed?
According to People, Artem Chigvintsev had removed Nikki Garcia’s name from his Instagram. It linked to her account and had a wedding ring next to it. Artem did so after the arrest, making a statement. He has since put her name back on there, as of Saturday, September 7th. Nothing has been said about the issue aside from Nikki’s rep:
“This is a private matter and Nikki asks for privacy for her and her family at this time.”
No More DWTS
Though Artem Chigvintsev still says he is a DWTS pro dancer, he is not on the show for Season 33 and was not set to be a pro for that season. The forty-two-year-old has been on twelve seasons and has won one season with Kaitlyn Bristowe. In his season with Nikki Garcia, they came in 7th, and in Season 32, he came in 4th with Charity Lawson. It is unclear if he would have made any appearances in Season 33 had this not happened or how it will impact him in the future.

Something has to be going on to get so mad to get physical.
Having shoes thrown at you should not fuel more anger.
A real man would have either went & put arms around wife to calm her down or just walked away.

We never know what happens behind closed doors. Yes Nikki’s show seemed like everything was fine and dandy but we don’t know plus people change! I do like them both and I hope all is good! Couples all fight!

I believe that there is more to this story than meets the eye. With celebrities there are the fans and then of course the court of public opinion. We’ve watched their show and if you’ve noticed whenever Artem is pissed off he will calmly walk away even though Nikki tries to poke at him. They may have heated arguments as both can be passionate people. We cannot condone domestic violence or any kind of violence. But we don’t know the circumstances. I am speculating that they had a disagreement and Nikki got physical and threw objects and including the shoes at him. He tried to calm her down and she wouldn’t then he tried to leave and she came at him. To defend himself, he may have gotten rough, which may have caused an injury or bruise, enough to call an ambulance. He may have also gotten hurt, but took the blame. There was never any mention of a child at home or nearby. No charge of child endangerment was included in the DV charge. Sadly, if they split up this would give a legitimate excuse for Artem to lose or have partial rights to his son. If he gets prosecuted for Federal domestic violence charges that will remain on his record for the rest of his life. How will his career go on? It’s cancel culture. Well, hopefully he gets good counsel for the DV charge and also seek a family law attorney to protect his rights as a spouse and parent. If any of the other things are valid and she did attack him and he protected himself, then surely I would pursue a divorce with spousal support on Artem’s part and equal parental rights. He seems to have to sacrifice his life and career just to modify being in her life, her career, her choice of home, her business. I sure hope they figure it all out. It’s never easy with marriage and having your dirty laundry out for the public is never good. I wonder why Nikki pulled any of her tantrums with John Cena who controlled everything in their relationship. All those rules. Now she dumps on Artem. For their son and their individual futures, go get counseling. This could get ugly. It doesn’t help when we, the public, get so involved. Don’t we remember she was a pro wrestler? Like honestly she could twist and break Artem in two cracks. Again, there’s more to this story.
I agree with everything you said. I like Nikki but she always has shown a selfish side since being with Artem. Didn’t she buy a house without his input? Didn’t she plan the wedding to her liking? I feel bad for Artem if this runs his career.
