Bachelorette suitor Devin Strader is public enemy number one right now. He got engaged to Jenn Tran during the show’s season finale but she revealed during the After The Final Rose special that he dumped her over the phone. In an effort to repair his image, he posted text messages from Jenn to share his side of the shocking breakup.
Jenn Tran Calls Out Ex-Fiance For How He Broke Up With Her
The Bachelorette finale was promoted as having an unprecedented ending. But the After The Final Rose lived up to the “most dramatic ever” franchise cliche. Yes, Jenn Tran did make history as the first Bachelorette to propose, but that was overshadowed by her tense confrontation with her now ex-fiance.
She revealed to Jesse Palmer that Devin Strader had ended their engagement over the phone somewhat recently. The exact timeline isn’t clear but she was giving press interviews last month that she was “very happy” with how her season ended.
“He basically said he didn’t love me anymore and didn’t feel the same way. He was checked out. It wasn’t what he wanted anymore.”
Bachelor Nation fans raged online after Jenn Tran was forced to watch her proposal air on the big screen at the ATFR.

Devin Strader Leaks Text Messages To Show His Side
Devin Strader has been problematic since the beginning of The Bachelorette. Aaron Erb and several other contestants took issue with how Devin was constantly stealing time away with Jenn. However, Jenn Tran fell in love with him anyway.
It seemed that he was the best suitor for her. But now Devin is getting dragged on social media and likely in private messages. He took to his Instagram Story to leak text messages that he likely thought would get people on his side.
In one text with Jenn Tran, he mentions that she tried to break up with him the week before. “I really took that to heart because I’ve been having doubts about our whole relationship. And I’m not happy right now, when I know you aren’t either,” he wrote.
Another message seemed to show that he tried to see her in person because she deserved better than a breakup over the phone. He deleted the texts from his IG almost immediately after posting, but the screenshots were posted on Reddit.

- Man is wild because anyone who’s ever dated a man knows these text don’t conflict with anything Jenn said. He’s a smooth talker.
Jenn Tran has yet to respond to Devin Strader leaking their texts. But she’s a little busy because she was just announced as a contestant on Season 33 of Dancing With The Stars.

I could tell during the show he was a control freak, and narcissist. He always wanted to be the center of attention, and keep her from forming other quality relationships. This can and will be a learning experience for her, and she is better off.
I think that he was wrong in how he handled things. I think he had this plan all along. Looks bad for him and i lost any respect that i might have had for him. I knew he was playing from the very beginning. It was like what he said was scripted especially towards the end. He is a creep and only wanted to be a front runner for tv options for himself. He is slime and I hope I never see him on tv again. I could see Jenn had her issues too, but this play acting is uncalled for. I would rather see them not get engaged if they are not ready.
Leaking private text messages like that I believe is a crime. He should be sued to pay her student loans. The one nice thing he did for her was saving her the frustration of wasting more time with him.
