Netflix’s ‘The Perfect Couple’ Coming on September 5th

Netflix’s The Perfect Couple series is coming on September 5th and will bring more murder mysteries to the streaming platform. The limited series is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Elin Hilderbrand. The full trailer has officially been released and it will have viewers on the edge of their seats.

What is The Perfect Couple Hiding?

Netflix is loving Nicole Kidman this year as she starred in the rom-com, A Family Affair alongside Zac Efron and Joey King. However, she is steering away from the romantic comedies this time. Back to her Big Little Lies roots, Kidman plays novelist Greer who awaits the wedding of her son Benji and Amelia Sacks with her husband, Tag. 

However, before the wedding can even begin, a dead body appears on the beach. Keeping the truth from the local cops leads everyone to appear guilty. Furthermore, Amelia has no idea what she is in for as she is marrying into one of the wealthiest families, the Winburys. 

Greer is willing to spend top dollar to make sure the wedding lives up to their family name. Moreover, as the trailer states, she makes all her guests sign an NDA so there’s no telling what she is hiding under the perfect decorations.

Joining Kidman in the cast is Liev Schreiber as Tag, Billy Howle as Benji, and Eve Hewson as Amelia. Additionally, Dakota Fanning, Jack Reynor, Ishaan Khatter, Meghann Fahy, Sam Nivola, Mia Isaac, and Isabelle Adjani will be in the limited series.

Fans of Big Little Lies would like the limited series with its mysteries, interrogations, and crimes surrounding a family in a beach town, Nantucket. The most perfect families hide the most secrets and the Winburys are no exception. 

‘Kill Someone And Get Away With It Rich’

The trailer features a crime scene, interrogations, attention, and secrets being revealed. Little bits of each character are shown in the trailer for a taste of what’s to come. Therefore, fans should get their pens ready to take notes and get to solving.

Jenna Lamia (Resident Alien) adapted the novel and is the showrunner. Lamia is the executive producer along with director Susanne Bier (In A Better World), Hilderbrand, Shawn Levy of 21 Laps Entertainment, Gail Berman and Hend Baghdady of The Jackal Group, Kidman and Per Saari of Blossom Films, and Josh Barry.

Fans are left pondering as the trailer ends with a shot of Kidman. Following her final appearance is a snippet of ‘Can’t Take My Eyes off You’ by Frankie Valli. Additionally, the plot twist leaves even the cops surprised. The trailer describes the upcoming series as ‘the most delicious, indulgent, and shocking show on TV.’
