Kim Kardashian Bashed After Visiting Incarcerated Firefighters
Kim Kardashian is showing how much she cares about prison reform once more and this time, she’s bringing little sister, Kendall Jenner, with her. Keep reading to learn what Kim did this time to show her support for inmates turning their lives around and why people on the internet are calling her juvenile because of it.
Kim Kardashian visits inmate firefighters
Kim Kardashian and her little sister, Kendall Jenner, paid a visit to a group of inmates that are fighting fires in California. The star visited the men from Crew 3, Crew 5 and Pine Grove Youth Conservation Camp at the Growlersburg Conservation Camp. According to Kim’s Instagram post this weekend, the state uses inmates from these programs to help with wildfires. The inmates earn money from their assistance on the job and the program gives the men a chance to become firefighters once their sentence is over.
Kim took to her social media to share about her experience writing:
“These incredible men are incarcerated firefighters saving our state, homes and communities from fire.”
She continues by further explaining the program.
“This program is the first of its kind allowing 18-25 year old incarcerated people to get out of prisons and into a firecamp to serve the community. Through this voluntary program they can fully expunge their felony records when they are released and now can go into firefighting careers when they get out.”
With the sweet caption, she shared several photos of herself with Kendall Jenner and the firefighters. In the photos, she and Kendall are both wearing tight, black tops and black leggings as they pose for the camera.

Getting Backlash on her visit
While it seems that Kim is trying to do good by helping with prison reform, and her Instagram post is full of love and support to reflect that, a group of viewers took to Reddit to discuss the post. In the photos, Kim seems to be throwing up peace signs and posing with duck lips. Many people online find this behavior to be offensive saying this behavior is ‘juvenile.’
“I don’t outwardly defend her, but I often think y’all are extra hard on Kimmy with her duck lips/peace sign pose but I can’t stand with her on this one. Time and place Kimberly, time and place, ” one person says.
“Lord god the pout is just so inappropriate lol,” someone else writes while another poster agrees with them, responding “Honestly what is wrong with her at this point..”
“Kims poses are so juvenile,” another writes.
It seems that while Kim is trying to do good work, she’s going to have to do a lot more to get people to respect her on this journey.
