Just hours after Brittany Cartwright filed to end her marriage to Jax Taylor for good, The Valley star was spotted looking radiant as she dined with friends, including The Valley co-star Zack Wickham.

For the night out, Brittany rocked a blue-ribbed mini dress and wore her long, highlighted locks in tousled waves.

The former Vanderpump Rules star’s outing followed news that she had filed for divorce from Jax after five years of marriage. In the court documents, she is requesting primary legal and physical custody of the three-year-old son, Cruz, with visitation allowed by Jax.

Being Single Seems To Agree With The Valley Star

Brittany hasn’t just been making major life decisions, she’s also posting on Instagram looking fabulous.

Brittany Cartwright Filing For Divorce Has Been ‘A Long Time Coming’

After tying the knot in June 2019, Brittany announced their separation in February of 2024 on the podcast she co-hosts with Jax, When Reality Hits.

“Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health. I won’t get into too many details right now because this is still really hard to talk about.”

At the time of the separation, Brittany claimed Jax needed therapy and to treat her better.

“He needs to go to therapy,” she told US Weekly.

“[Jax] doesn’t need to be staying out at the bar all the time. He needs to respect me more and stop taking me for granted. I was the closest person to him and was kind of like his punching bag. He was always giving me jabs. I can’t deal with that for the rest of my life.”

At the end of July, Jax checked into an in-patient mental health facility.

“He has made the decision to seek in-patient treatment. This is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family. They ask for privacy and respect until he is ready to speak more on this matter,” a rep for Jax said in a statement.

Brittany’s divorce filing comes days after Jax returned home from treatment.

Fans will get to see how it all plays out because both Jax and Brittany are currently filming Season 2 of The Valley, although no release date has been announced by Bravo.
