‘Big Brother’ Alum Makes ‘Cry For Help’ After Thousands Of Threats
Big Brother alum Zach Rance had made a “cry for help” online this week. The reality TV star has apparently received thousands of death threats and other harassing messages since he appeared on the show. In a recent video, he detailed the bullying he’s faced. Here is what he revealed.
Zach Rance Makes A Cry For Help
It has been 10 years since Zach Rance appeared on Big Brother, now in its 26th season. On Monday, he posted a video to YouTube talking about the hardships he’s faced since appearing on the competition series.
Zach has been the victim of online bullying for nearly a decade. Many of the messages he receives are targeting him because fans are disappointed that he didn’t end up in a relationship with fellow BB player Frankie Grande.
While some of the messages are just harassing him, there are plenty of dark death threats in the mix too.
The clip explained that many Big Brother fans were invested in his budding relationship with Frankie. They became referred to as “Zankie” by fans. When things didn’t work out as they wanted, many people decided to voice their disappointment. And they’ve directed all of it at Zach.
He read samples of the messages he’s received over the years. There have been a number of homophobic slurs spewed at him as well as antisemitic lines and even death threats. All of this has occurred via email and text messages.
The Big Brother alum revealed that he printed out four months’ worth of emails. It appeared to fill four binders. At first, Zach Rance said he thought the outrage toward him would die down.
Big Brother Alum Reveals Threats To His Family
In 2020, he came out as bisexual and his time on the competition series seemed far in the past. Unfortunately, the bullying continued and has gotten even more concerning as the years have passed.
He told listeners, “It came to the point where I didn’t know what to do. I was kind of scared that whoever this was that was sending me the emails was going to physically harm me or my family.”
One email the Big Brother alum received threatened to harm Zach’s little brother Peyton. The message said that the person would bully his younger brother until he committed suicide.
Now, Zach Rance is attempting to tap into the few fans he has for help. He hopes that people who have their hands in Big Brother groups on Pinterest and other social platforms can help identify the individuals sending these threatening messages.
Zach Rance appeared on Big Brother in Season 16. He was eliminated in Week 8 of the competition, blindsided by his closest alliance Frankie Grande. Watch his cry for help below.
