Days Of Our Lives revealed earlier this month that Abigail Deveraux was alive. Viewers saw her stabbed to death two years on the daytime soap. But in a shocking twist, it was revealed that the DNA tests were fake and the woman who says she’s Abigail isn’t. Does that mean Marci Miller might return to the soap?
Who Is AnnaLynn McCord Really Playing?
Abigail Deveraux is not who she seems. Actress AnnaLynne McCord was cast on Days Of Our Lives in 2023 in a mystery role. Due to the taping schedule, she didn’t make her debut on the soap until June.
Her appearance on the show came when Clyde (James Read) hinted that Abigail was still alive. The news sent Chad (Billy Flynn) on a wild goose chase that ultimately led him to a blonde woman being held hostage.
All signs indicated that the mystery woman played by AnnaLynne McCord was an Abigail Deveraux recast. The role was previously played by Kate Mansi and Marci Miller.
But in an unexpected curve ball, viewers were clued into a scheme involving “Abigail” and Dr. Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson.) The doctor faked the DNA results to make it look like the mystery woman was Abigail.
But Chad, Jack (Matthew Ashford,) and the rest of Salem are clueless that she’s not really Abigail. The storyline is still playing out, so the reasons behind the scam aren’t clear yet, but many fans think the mystery woman and Dr. Greene have a vendetta against the real Abigail or the DiMeras. Abigail is a DiMera by marriage.

Marci Miller may not be on Days Of Our Lives anymore, but she still has a huge presence in Salem. The soap opera keeps cutting to photos of Chad and Abigail in happier times and Marci Miller is the Abigail in the photos, not AnnaLynne McCord.
Some fans think that’s a huge clue that Marci Miller is on her way back to Days Of Our Lives eventually. Another big hint could be that AnnaLynne McCord only signed a one-year contract with the sudser.
Kate Mansi is unlikely to return as Abigail. The actress now plays Kristina on General Hospital. If Marci Miller does rejoin the show, it may not be announced ahead of time to keep the surprise.
