Tammy Slaton Takes Fans On Her Weight Loss Journey
This has been a tremendous year for 1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton — and there’s still plenty of time left in 2024. As she continues to push toward her health and weight loss goals, she was also nominated for a reality TV award.
Now that she’s lost 500 lbs, Tammy wants to give her fans a little bit more insight into her journey so far. And in the process, she’s creating a safe space for her followers who struggle with the same problems.
Tammy Slaton Creates A Special Place For Others In Her Shoes
While fans wait for news and updates about a new season of 1000-Lb Sisters, Tammy Slaton is exploring a brand new chapter of her life.
On Instagram, she decided to let her followers in and see what the weight loss process has been like.
“Hey there, beautiful souls! I’m Tammy, and if you’re new here, I want to give you the biggest, warmest welcome to my page! 🤗” the TLC star began her Instagram post. “My life has been a rollercoaster, and I’m proud to share that I’ve lost over 500 pounds. Some of you might know me from 1000lb Sisters, but here on my page, it’s all about love, positivity, and celebrating every step of the journey.”
Tammy went on to share that she wants to create a positive space for her followers. Whether they’re looking for inspiration, want to share their personal story, or just bask in positive vibes, she assures fans this is the place for them.
“I take a lot of pictures, a lot of selfies, and I do. Not because I think I look good, well I do a little bit,” Tammy shared in the video. “But mostly because I want to remember how big I was, what I look like, and I reflect. Dude, I was huge. I lost 500 lbs. I would not be able to sit in this chair. I think I was trying to be so focused on losing weight I lost myself. I lost who I was and turned to alcohol instead of food.”

1000-Lb Sisters fans know that Tammy Slaton used to be an entirely different person. Weight aside, she used to verbally berate her family members and be quite difficult to get along with.
