Matthew Perry Paid $55,000 For Ketamine Before Death
As the criminal charges for Matthew Perry’s death pile up, more news has been released about his life leading up to his tragic death. Two doctors, an alleged drug dealer, and Perry’s own assistant were arrested in connection with his death, and three of the parties had already pleaded guilty. Now, word is coming about how much ketamine Perry was using the month before his death.
Here is what is known about how much ketamine Matthew bought before his tragic death.
Matthew Perry Bought A Massive Amount Of Ketamine Before His Death
According to reports, Matthew Perry and his assistant, Kenny Iwamasa, spent over $55,000 on 55 ketamine vials and related injections in just 29 days leading up to his death. Perry died on October 28, 2023, at 54. In the reports, it seems that Kenny was sending out text messages, trying to get even more (via Us Weekly).
Kenny Iwamasa is one of the people who have already pleaded guilty to the charges against him. According to legal documents, Kenny was with Perry when they met Dr. Salvador Plasencia in a parking lot to receive a ketamine injection. The reports also claim that Kenny and Plasencia exchanged thousands in cash for bottles of ketamine.
The reports also indicate that Plasencia reportedly injected Perry with ketamine just hours after a previous injection. This caused Perry to be unable to speak or move, thanks to a dangerous rise in his blood pressure.
The reports claim that Kenny spent $6,000 for 25 bottles of ketamine nine days after he brought 25 ketamine vials illegally. In frightening news, Kenny injured Matthew six times in one day and then 18 more times in the next three days. The day that Perry died, Kenny injected him a reported three times.
Who Was Allegedly Responsible For His Death?
The people arrested for Matthew Perry’s overdose death include his assistant Kenny Iwamasa, a doctor from San Diego named Mark Chavez, and an acquaintance named Erik Fleming. All three of these men pleaded guilty to the charges brought against them.
Also arrested was Dr. Salvador Plasencia, accused of selling Matthew the drugs and injecting some himself. He has pleaded not guilty. Finally, there is an alleged drug dealer named Jasveen Sangha, who is known as the Ketamine Queen. She is the one who allegedly sold Matthew the last batch. She is being held without bond.
The reports indicate the last month of his life started on September 30 when Perry and Iwamasa reportedly got the ketamine from Plasencia. His regular doctor prescribed ketamine for this depression, but Matthew reportedly wanted more than the law allowed. Plasencia and Chavez shared reported texts, asking how much they could possibly get from the “moron.”
That amount was apparently over $55,000. On October 2, Perry reportedly got more from Plasencia, and then on October 4, the doctor allegedly injected more. Plasencia allegedly sold more to Perry on October 6, October 8, and October 10. On October 11, Matthew reportedly got information from Fleming about Sangha.
Perry paid a reported $21,000 more on October 12 to Plasencia for more and then on October 13, bought more from Sangha. On October 20, he got his last ketamine treatment from his regular doctor, who knew nothing about the illegal dealings.
Perry bought more from Sangha on October 25. On October 28, allegedly using ketamine from Sangha and syringes from Plasencia, Perry got his final injections and then died in his jacuzzi.
