Johnny Wactor was killed on May 25, 2024. Three individuals have now been arrested in connection to the death of the General Hospital star. Now, his coworker Anita Joy is pushing for law enforcement to go after the killers to the fullest extent of the law. Here is what she’s saying.

Arrests Made In Johnny Wactor’s Murder

The General Hospital actor was returning to his car after a shift at a bar in Los Angeles on May 25. His coworker, Anita Joy, was walking with him when they noticed several people standing around Johnny’s car.

Although Johnny Wactor did not attempt to approach the individuals, one of them turned and shot him in the chest. As they waited for medical help, he bled to death with his coworker holding him. Since then, police have been searching for the people responsible.

A couple of weeks ago, the Los Angeles Police Department issued a community BOLO for the people who are connected to the soap actor’s death. Now, they have arrested four individuals.

Anita Joy has come forward to address the arrests and what she hopes happens with Johnny’s case. She told TMZ that hearing about the arrests made her feel a mix of joy and relief. They were brought into custody on Thursday, August 15. The LAPD announced the arrests on Monday.

Three of the people brought in were only 18 years old. Robert Barceleau and Sergio Estrada (both 18) were charged with murder. Leonel Guitierrez, 18, and Frank Olano, 22, were booked on lesser charges. All of the individuals are connected to the Florencia 13 gang.

The three 18-year-olds were also charged with one count of attempted robbery with personal use of a firearm as well as one count of grand theft with an allegation of principal armed with a firearm. This is the only charge for Leonel Guitierrez, and he is facing four years and eight months in prison.

Robert Barceleau was also charged with murder with special circumstances. He’s looking at a possible life sentence without parole. Sergio Estrada is facing a maximum sentence of life in prison as well.

Frank Olano was charged with one count of accessory after the fact to murder. He was also nailed for one count of receiving stolen property and three counts of being a felon with a firearm. Olano is facing five years and eight months in prison.

Barceleau is currently being held without bail due to his connection to the murder of Johnny Wactor. Estrada is being held on more than $2 million bail, and Olano is being held on over $1 million bail. Guitierrez was held on $120,000 bail.

General Hospital Star’s Coworker Pushes For Justice

Even though it seems like Johnny Wactor is finally getting justice, his coworker Anita Joy wants to see everyone who was connected to the murder of her friend be convicted. More than that, she says that Johnny’s family won’t be able to find peace unless each of them serves the maximum punishment.

Overall, Anita says that she feels positive about the killers receiving the maximum sentences because each of the suspects has been held with high bail amounts. At first, she was concerned that they wouldn’t be tried as adults. When the incident occurred, she wasn’t sure if they were underage or not.

However, because all of the suspects are over 18, they will be tried as adults.

Anita is happy that the latest development has come before Johnny Wactor’s birthday on August 31. His family is relieved that some progress has been made.
