‘WCTH’ Mamie Laverock Released From Hospital After 3 Months
In some great news, When Calls the Heart star Mamie Laverock has been released from the hospital. She was in the hospital for three months after a medical emergency led to a balcony fall within the hospital itself. Now that she is working toward walking again, Mamie is back home with her family, still recovering.

Mamie Laverock Gets To Go Home
Mamie Laverock’s family has let fans know that the When Calls the Heart star has finally returned home from her hospital stay. In the post, they posted a cake with some party decorations and a sign that read: “Home Sweet Home.” The caption read, “Dreams do come true. Welcome Home Mamie.”
This is wonderful news since she has been in the hospital for three months. It also comes only a short time after the family posted a video of Mamie getting out of bed and attempting to walk again with a physical therapist.
Fans rejoiced the good news with Mamie’s family in the comments:

- “I’m so happy she is home recovering there. Continuing prayers for strength for Mamie.”

Whoever is running Mamie’s Facebook page also responded to one of the commenters who asked how the recovery process was going.
“She’s still severely injured, but we will take care of her privately,” her Facebook page responded. “She needed to be at home. So happy for her. She made it this far… next chapter. It’s a blessing to have her home.”
Mamie Laverock’s Recovery Process
In May 2024, Mamie Laverock was rushed to the hospital following an unrevealed “medical emergency.” However, what happened next was horrendous for the When Calls the Heart star. On May 26, her family revealed that she “was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories.”
A GoFundMe was set up to help Mamie’s expenses, but it was shut down after it reached the goal. At the time, Mamie was placed on life support. However, she has since recovered and has finally gotten to go home.
Her mother posted a photo in July that showed her hugging Mamie on her 20th birthday. She said it was “a miracle.” Then, on August 2, the video arrived of Mamie taking her first steps since the horrible accident. “Thank you surgeons, thank you prayers, thank you Lord. Mamie has just taken her first steps,” the caption read.
