Jana Duggar’s Husband Bought $275K New Home In Nebraska
It seemed like Counting On fans waited an eternity for Jana Duggar to get married. The 34-year-old finally got hitched this week to her longtime friend Stephen Wissmann, 31. Now, they are moving into a rather modest home in Nebraska, but Jana’s name isn’t on the deed. Keep reading for more details about their wedding and the newlyweds’ house.
Jana Duggar Marries Longtime Family Friend
The couple got married on Thursday, August 15, in Prarie Grove, Arkansas. There were reportedly 500 people in attendance. That’s not surprising considering both of them come from huge families. Jana Duggar is one of 20 kids and Stephen Wissman is one of 13.
They were married in a “classic, elegant” ceremony after getting engaged on June 15. Jessa Duggar Seewald was Jana’s maid of honor. Her sister-in-law, Abbie Duggar, and sisters Joy-Anna Forsyth, Johannah Duggar, Jinger Duggar Vuolo, and Jordyn Duggar each stood next to her as bridesmaids.
Jana Duggar walked down the aisle to “Holy, Holy, Holy.” She wore a classy off-the-shoulder ivory gown and was escorted by her dad, Jim Bob Duggar. They kept the decor for the special day simple with white flowers and greenery.
When they were planning their big day, Jana and Stephen both made their loved ones a priority. Both of them wanted to be sure that everyone in their families was included in the wedding.
Stephen’s family cooked for the wedding, providing a spread that Jana Duggar said would be delicious. The couple also cut into a three-tier cake and served cupcakes as well.
“I think it is one of those things that all girls envision someday,” Jana told People. “For me, it felt like, ‘Okay, it’s never coming.’ But now it’s starting to sink in. Reality is starting to set in. And I’m like, ‘Wow, this truly is something that I’ve dreamed of.’ And just to see it coming about is incredible and kind of hard to believe. It’s a dream come true.”
The Couple Is Renovating A Home In Nebraska
After tying the knot, Jana and Stephen will be headed to his home in Nebraska. The Counting On alum spoke about their “little house.”

Stephen reportedly bought the house in May of 2023 for $275,000. It is 2,152 square feet and is on a quarter of an acre lot. The house has five bedrooms and two bathrooms with hardwood floors throughout. The bedrooms are carpeted and the bathrooms are tiled. It also has a two-car garage and a basement. Only Stephen’s name is on the deed for the home.
Jana Duggar said that they’ve been working on renovating the house, which is a bit outdated. “It’s great,” she told People. “We’ve been working, he has a little house we bought that we’ve been fixing up and getting pulled together, and so that’s been fun.”
