‘Bachelorette’ Katie Thurston Gives Huge Rape Case Update
Bachelorette Katie Thurston revealed to fans at the end of June that she was a victim of rape. She wanted to share all the resources that saved her life. She always wanted to give hope to followers to not give up. While she felt at that time that the justice system failed her, she didn’t want to stop trying to pursue a criminal case against her alleged rapist. Katie Thurston Gives Huge Update On Alleged Rape
Bachelorette Katie Thurston went to Instagram to share a big update on her rape case in San Diego. She tried hard to make her case stick enough to get criminal charges brought against her alleged rapist. However, she lost her case.
Katie said, “Today I was in San Diego to meet with the District Attorney who was assigned to my case. And officially, that chapter is closed for good. This week has been extremely hard and I am so blessed with an amazing support system both in person and online.”
She went on to say that she is ready to move forward. Katie said, “I am ready to process everything, grieve and heal.”
She revealed that her boyfriend Jeff Arcuri as well as other friends tried to keep good vibes around her while she went through these tough meetings.
Ultimately, her alleged rapist got away with the alleged rape. When Katie first talked about the incident, she revealed doing everything she should have. She went to the police and the hospital.
Katie provided them with all the evidence they would need. It didn’t help. Police told her it was hard to bring criminal charges against someone and win in rape cases.
She Has Had A Rough Month
Katie Thurston has endured a rough August. Not only is she dealing with the alleged rape case, she is also dealing with losing her best friend.
She shared on Instagram that her beloved cat Tommy passed away at home on August 8. Once again, Jeff was by her side and even extended his trip to Los Angeles to give her support as she grieved.
Things between Katie and Jeff appear to be quite serious. He’s been her rock through some very difficult times.
