He’d also like to set the record straight on a few things. Continue reading to see what Scott Peterson is revealing in the latest series.

Scott Peterson Calls Himself An ‘A-Hole’

Footage of new interviews with the convicted murderer have started to surface ahead of the Peacock docuseries Face To Face With Scott Peterson. In the clips, he looks much different than he did in 2002. He now sports a longer hairstyle, which he sometimes wears in a ponytail. Overall, he appears to be laid back and ready to tell his side of the story.

Those that followed the Laci Peterson case may remember that Scott remained tight-lipped throughout the trial. He didn’t testify on his behalf, which many people thought was damning evidence in itself. The docuseries will be the first time he has spoken on camera since his arrest.

In the docuseries, he talks about a number of things leading up to his wife’s death, including his affair with Amber Frey. “It’s horrible,” he admitted. “I was a total a-hole to be having sex outside our marriage.”

While he admits to being an “a-hole,” Scott Peterson still denies any involvement in the death of Laci and their unborn child. It is clear that he hopes by speaking out that he can appeal to the public to finally listen to his side of the story.

According to Scott, law enforcement officials ignored several different leads in the case. He also alleges that they relied on circumstantial evidence to pin the murder on him. Furthermore, the convicted killer says that he regrets not testifying at his trial.

“I have a chance to show people what the truth is, and if they are willing to accept it, it would be the biggest thing that I can accomplish right now—because I didn’t kill my family,” he said definitively.

Scott’s Sister-In-Law & Innocence Project Backing Him

Scott Peterson was convicted of the murder of his wife and unborn son, Connor, in November 2004. During the trial, prosecutors painted him as a man who didn’t want to be a dad. Not to mention, he was seemingly in love with Amber Frey, who he was having an affair with. So, he killed his wife to get out of his marriage without having to pay child or spousal support.

Now, Scott has something to say about the allegations. He said, “That is so offensive and so disgusting. I certainly regret cheating on Laci, absolutely. It was about a childish lack of self-esteem, selfish me traveling somewhere, lonely that night because I wasn’t at home. Someone makes you feel good because they want have sex with you.”

The three-part Peacock series is also expected to dive into the appeal that has been launched in Scott Peterson’s case. The Los Angeles Innocence Project filed an appeal to overturn his conviction and plans to prove his innocence.

Another supporter of Scott, his sister-in-law Janey Peterson, is featured in the docuseries as well. She told People that having Scott’s affair uncovered in court was “upsetting,” but that doesn’t mean he is a murderer.

Face To Face With Scott Peterson premieres on Peacock on August 20.
