Gypsy Rose Blanchard Will Need Paternity Test For Unborn Child

Gypsy Rose on Life After Lockup

Ryan Anderson, the estranged husband of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, has opened up about the paternity of her unborn child. He recently got on TikTok Live and spoke about Gypsy’s pregnancy announcement. Unfortunately for Ryan, he still has to be involved to a certain extent. Here is what he revealed.

Ryan Anderson Opens Up About Paternity Tests

Gypsy’s 38-year-old ex got on TikTok Live over the weekend and revealed some things about Louisiana state law. His TikTok livestream occurred on the same day that Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her boyfriend Ken Urker announced they were expecting a baby girl.

Despite the couple’s happy announcement, Ryan Anderson said there are still a lot of things to figure out. He will have to take a DNA test to prove that he isn’t (or is) the father of Gypsy’s baby. This is standard procedure in the state of Louisiana for couples who are still married but separate.

Ryan said that he hates being in this situation. “I have to take a DNA test for court,” he said on the livestream. “The way the timeline matches up — I don’t think it’s mine, but I don’t know. The DNA test is going to prove it. Crazier things have happened. I just don’t know. I have my thoughts and I have my opinions.”

Louisiana law states, “If the mother is married to someone other than the biological father when the child was conceived or has been divorced for less than 300 days at the time of birth, the husband/ex-husband shall be the presumed father, unless paternity is established for the biological father.”

That said, if Ken Urker wants to be on the birth certificate, Ryan Anderson will have to sign an affidavit saying Ken is the father. If Ryan doesn’t do that, Gypsy Rose and the two men will have to submit DNA to the court.

Ryan Still Cares For Gypsy Rose

Beau Brock, an attorney in the state of Louisiana, told People that the laws concerning paternity are put in place to protect the child. This is to ensure that they have a mother and father who will provide for them.

In the case of Gypsy Rose, the attorney said that it is generally suggested that a DNA test is performed. “There are overlapping hookups that are possible. You don’t know,” he said.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard filed for divorce from Ryan Anderson in April. Shortly after their separation, Gypsy got back together with her ex-fiance Ken Urker. On July 9, she announced that they were expecting their first child together.

She married Ryan while she was still in prison in 2022, and he admittedly still has feelings for the ex-con. “I’m always going to have love for [her],” he candidly said on his livestream.

“She was my wife and I did marry her, you know?” he told followers. “If anyone is going to bash her, it should be me. I just don’t get the hate … If I can overlook it and accept the way things are. If I’m not bashing her, why ya’ll need to?”

Gypsy Rose and Ken Urker will be welcoming their baby girl sometime in early 2025.
