Two ‘GH’ Fan Favorites Get Bumped To Contract Status
General Hospital has seen more behind-the-scenes drama lately than on-screen. The show recently rehired a previously fired writer. The casting door has been revolving constantly as fan-favorite actors such as Michael Easton exited stage left and Lucky Spencer headed back to town. The daytime soap reportedly just upgraded two recurring roles to contract status. Keep reading for all the details on the latest GH changes.
GH Star Charles Mesure Bumped To Contract Status
General Hospital fans are concerned about Adam J. Harrington’s future on the show after rumors began swirling that John “Jagger” Cates is leaving town soon. ABC has yet to confirm the rumors, but one soap fan took to Reddit to share some casting news that might make worried fans happy.
The Redditor claimed that two popular actors on the show had been bumped up from recurring to contract status. Charles Mesure joined the soap as John Brennan in December 2023. Brennan is the former director of the fictional spy agency WSB and has a history with Anna. The character is part of Sonny’s storyline.
GH fans reacted positively to the news of the contract news, which hasn’t been officially confirmed by the soap.

GH Shuts Down Rumors Of Haley Pullos Returning As Molly
Haley Pullos played Molly for nearly 14 years before she left following legal trouble. She was arrested for DUI in 2023. The actress was recently let out of jail after finishing her sentence. Some GH fans suggested that she might be returning to the ABC soap to reprise her role as Molly.
After she left, the soap went through several recasts before finally finding Kristen Vaganos, who took over the role in late 2023. Many soap viewers have been singing her praises for her portrayal of Molly’s grief after her baby died. Her sister, Kristina, had been carrying the baby as a surrogate but took a tumble out of a window.
According to the Reddit thread, Vaganos is also now in a contract role. The move comes just weeks after news that Rick Hearst is reprising his role as Molly’s father, Ric Lansing.
