‘Welcome To Plathville’ Preview: Barry Plath Meets Kim’s Boyfriend Ken
In the new preview of Welcome To Plathville, all the Plaths are shaping up! It seems like each one is going through their individual transitions and is eager to make changes. But one inevitable meeting is finally taking place between Barry Plath and Kim’s new boyfriend, Ken Palmer.
The Plaths Are Taking On Challenges
During the new trailer of the upcoming Welcome To Plathville episode, it seems like all hell is about to break loose. It shows several of the family members pumping iron as they work on the new versions of themselves. Ethan Plath is working out with a trainer and even shows off some new rapping skills. While Barry Plath has shown his competition in the gym with Micah and Ethan, now Amber Plath is getting buff by throwing around tractor tires.
Furthermore, it flashes to Moriah climbing up a rope on top of her normal running routine. Likewise, Olivia Plath is on her journey to self-improvement and does a gym workout of her own. Undeniably, Olivia is feeling more confident as she spends time away from Ethan. She says, “I finally feel like I’m in the driver’s seat of my own life.”
However, the family isn’t just focused on fitness, they are also overcoming obstacles in their relationships. For instance, Ethan says, “I have learned more in the last year of this failed marriage than I did in the seven years prior.” Furthermore, Barry takes the steps to meet Kim’s boyfriend, Ken Palmer, even though they have stayed away from each other up until this point. Barry says in the preview, “Things are getting strange in Plathville these days.”
Barry Plath Meets Kim’s Boyfriend Ken
Although Kim and Barry Plath have been separated for over two years now, there is a delay in filming for Welcome To Plathville. Earlier in the season, Kim and Ken Palmer made it clear Barry wasn’t in any hurry to meet him. Kim realizes that Barry won’t accept Ken until Barry gets a girlfriend of his own. Notably, she said Ken is willing and making an effort, but Barry wasn’t at that point. But in the upcoming episode, Barry finally takes the steps to meet Ken. During the clip, it shows that the family gets together, including Barry and Ken. Seemingly it is for a family concert that Moriah arranged, but the timeline is sped up creating chaos.
Kim says, “We’re all here together, including Ken.” Then, she cracks, “I’m just waiting to see who punches who first.” Ken chuckles and Kim lets out a cackling laugh showing her amusement at the joke. But the video shows they sit at opposite ends of the table during the reunion.
Kim Leaves Barry Plath Hanging
Later in the clip, it reveals Kim and Barry Plath take time off to the side to talk. Barry pops off a funny statement to lighten the mood, saying “Just like old times.” However, Kim mysteriously disappears leaving Barry just a few feet away from Ken Palmer. Acknowledging the situation, Barry states, “She disappears, and then I’m standing there with Ken.” Embracing the awkward but necessary opportunity, he says, “This is the moment.” With an expression of tension, Barry plops down in a chair across from Ken and prepares for the inevitable discussion he had adamantly avoided up until this time.
